Technically this isn't about any of the characters, but it's not about beliefs either...
Anyway, in the opening when we see the meteor hit acmetropolis, in 2772, it looks like Earth. But in the show, it looks way different. Way more high-tech. Episode 6 was just one year after the meteor hit, so how did the planet change that much in just about a year?
Well, partly its supposed to be because the Meteor hit, I think. But you do have a point, even in the second season the way the planet looks is not the same.
I was always inclined to believe that Acmetropolis is a different planet... Like, the human race screwed up Earth and moved along to the next place they could find...
And it's THAt far into the future. One should ASSUME by that point in time, our technology would have develloped substantially.

develloped enough to completely change the surface of the planet in less than a year?
the meteor crashed in 2772, and acmetropolis still looked like earth when the meteor hit. and episode six is one year after that. and (I don't remember the first time we see acmetropolis from space) but some time in season one we see acmetropolis from space and it looks different.
acutally i mentioned all this in the original post...did you read it? or was I simply not clear?

Perhaps we can simply once again pin it on the writer's inconsistency? Perhaps the scene of the meteor crashing into Acmetropolis was among the first scenes they ever animated? We can only assume such things, seeing as half of the series is made up of inconsistencies.

I tend to think Acmetropolis is Earth, just the Looney Tunes Earth where Acme is like Microsoft, Apple, all the other big companies, and McDonalds all rolled into one, and Acme just took over...the WORLD.
Also, as for the appearence I think a sort of reverse Pangea effect happened.......yeah.
