Chapter 1

It was bright day in the city of Acmetropolis; the Loonatics were taking a break from fighting crime by going to the Acmetropolis theme park for a day of fun and food.  However, what they didn't know was another hero was going to meet them, and he was going to help them save Tech from what would be the Loonatics’ most dangerous enemy.

Mr. Leghorn was in his office for the entire day signing stacks papers and passing ludicrous bills.  Unlike the Loonatics, he didn't have the chance to take a single break.  "Ugh."  He sighed.  "The things I do for Chili Gurt."  Suddenly, his intercom let out a loud bleep, causing the mayor to fall out of his chair and spread papers all over the office.  "Mr. Leghorn?"  The secretary said through the intercom.  "It's time for your 2:00 meeting."  Leghorn groaned and pressed the button on the intercom.  "Oh, good." He said with a groan.  "Send them in."  Mr. Leghorn was planning to host a meeting with Siegfried Demoncyne, the mayor of Megaville, a neighboring city to Acmetropolis to discuss the trade of several different supplies between the cities.  Also, Megaville was famous for its superheroes and Mr. Leghorn was hoping to plan an alliance with them.

Moments later, while Mr. Leghorn was picking up papers, the door to his office opened and the mayor of Megaville entered.  He was a lizard of some sort, with long black hair.  He had a muscular physique, which was covered by sets of green and yellow scales.  His fiery crimson eyes gave a look of confidence and intimidation.  He was followed by an enigmatic man with purple spiked hair and a black blazer that covered a black t-shirt.  He had a wild smile which matched his amethyst eyes.  "Greetings."  Said Siegfried with a smooth, luscious voice.  "As you know, I am Siegfried Demoncyne, mayor of Megaville."  He shook hands with Mr. Leghorn, who eyed the smiling man who was behind Siegfried.  "Oh."  Siegfried said as he turned to the mysterious man.  "This is Aaron "Shadowa" Demoncyne, my father and one of the leading superheroes of Megaville."  Leghorn gasped. This man was his father?  They were technally the same age.  Siegfried apparently read Leghorn's mind because almost immediately explained, “He's a Demoncyne, a member of a family who discovered the secret of eternal youth.  He's actually over 300 years old."  Shadowa grinned and stuck his middle finger at Leghorn.  "That's right fatty!"  He laughed.  "But I like to be considered to be 27."  He laughed as he walked over to a fireplace which had pictures on its top.  "He's a very uncouth man isn't he?"  Leghorn nervously asked Siegfried, shocked at Shadowa's behavior.  Siegfried chuckled “No, not really."  He reassured.  "He's just very...defiant."  Siegfried sighed and looked at Shadowa, who was taking the pictures and throwing them across the room.  He picked up a picture of the Loonatics and before he threw it, he stopped and he reexamined it closely.  "Hey?"  He asked with a chuckle.  "Are these your "Superheroes"?  He threw the picture at Leghorn.  The dragon caught it and handed it to Leghorn.  "Ah!"  Leghorn exclaimed.  "Yes, these are the Loonatics."  Shadowa looked into the fire for a few minutes, not saying a single word.

After what felt like an hour, Shadowa walked to Leghorn, who flinched at the man's demonic appearance.  "So, is there any chance I could meet these "Loonatics?"  He asked.  Leghorn gulped and looked at Siegfried, who just smiled and nodded at the nervous mayor.  "Y-es, you can."  He stammered.  "I think they are at the Acmetropolis theme park."  Shadowa laughed, flipped Leghorn off again and dashed out of the room. “Enjoy yourselves!”  Said his voice from a distance.

“No Slam, No! This is my Pizza!”  Danger Duck quacked out of the way before Slam Tasmanian could even lick his pizza.  “Aw…”  Groaned the lumbering beast.  Tech E Coyote walked toward Slam and handed him a large green pizza box.  “Here.”  Slam giggled happily and ate the pizza in one gulp, box and all.  Tech laughed and turned to view the sunset, sighing contently.  He was glad he was able to hang out with his friends, especially…

Lexi Bunny grabbed the Coyote and kissed him on the cheek, which made him gasp in surprise.  “That was nice of you!”  She said softly in his ear.  Tech turned around and looked in her eyes.  “Well…I just don’t want to have him go hungry and eat us all.”  He joked.   The both laughed and walked to the ice cream stand nearby.  Recently, Lexi helped Tech celebrate his first Christmas with other people, and discovered she was in love with him.  Over the next few months, they built their relationship and started dating.

Everyone was happy about Lexi and Tech being together.

Well, almost everybody.

Ace Bunny leaned on the railing of the pier with his arms crossed and a dark scowl on his face.  He didn’t like the fact that Lexi was dating Tech.  It irritated him, that someone else was dating Lexi.  Someone other than him.  He groaned as he saw the couple exchange a kiss and bit into the carrot he was holding.

“Uh-oh!  Someone’s a very sad bunny!”

Ace turned his head sharply to see a man grinning at him.  He tilted his head, he never saw this man before.  “Did the bunny lose his friend?”  The man mocked Ace again.  “Awwww.”  Ace armed his eyebeams at the man, ready to fry him if he said anything else.   The man reached behind him and pulled something out.  “I’m sorry.”  He said with a tone of mischief in his voice.  “But is this yours?”  He pulled out the Guardian Strike Sword from his back and stabbed it into the wooden floor of the pier.  Ace gasped and reached for the sword.  Pulling it out, he swung it a few times before pointing it at the man’s throat.  “Hey, who are ya doc?”  He asked the man.  “And what are you doing with my sword?”  The man chuckled and pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket.  He lit one and made a long inhale before he answered the anxious bunny.   “Answer me!”  Ace shouted at the man.  “Alright, alright!”  The man said.  “Let me just…”  Ace never heard the man finish he was then flown into a balloon stand, crashing into it and grabbing the attention of the other Loonatics.  “You guys are the Loonatics, right?”  He asked the group.  Ace got up and activated his uniform.  The others followed almost immediately.   The man looked at the uniforms and laughed.  “Oh, so you are the Loonatics!”  He said in an almost fascinated tone.  “In that case let’s get to know each other.  I’m Aaron Demoncyne.”  A weapon began to form in his hand.  It was a humongous revolver, deep red in color, with a blade on the top of the hilt.  “But everybody calls me “Shadowa”.”  He laughed.  “I’m here to see how powerful everybody says you are!”  Ace looked at the other Loonatics, then back at Shadowa.  “Well then, if it’s a fight you want.”  He moved into a combat stance, ready to attack his for.  “It’ll be a fight you’ll get.”  The Loonatics readied themselves.  Danger, with his “Eggs”, Lexi with her physic blasts, Slam, with his tornado projectiles, Rev, with his super speed, and Tech, with his magnetism.  “Well then!”  Aaron laughed and spun the loader on his gunblade, causing it to load.   “This is gonna be fun on the run! YEEHAW!”  He ran forward and lunged toward the Loonatics, ready to attack.

Loonatics Unleashed:  The Unknown

Chapter 2

By Malak1147

_________________________________

The Loonatics scattered before Shadowa landed on his feet, an excited look on his face.  He ran toward Lexi, who was the closest, and swung his massive gunblade at her.  The bunny responded by leaping to avoid the attack, than used the gunblade as a base to run up and kick Shadowa in the face.  Shadowa staggered for a second before getting punched toward an ice cream stand by Slam.  He stabbed the gunblade quickly into the ground before he hit the stand.  Getting up and aiming the sword at slam.  It fired with a ban and launched a huge projectile at Slam.  Suddenly, a beam of yellow energy destroyed the projectile moments before it hit the Tasmanian devil.  Ace walked toward Slam and put a hand on his shoulder, asking if he was okay.  Slam responded with a nod and Ace turned toward the purple-haired foe.  Shadowa smirked and readied himself for battle.  "All right, let's see if you're good at the blade too."  The two combatants ran toward each other and crossed blades.  Ace grunted as he struggled to push the increasing weight of his foe's blade as it pushed down on him.  Suddenly, in a quick swipe, both foes were spilt from each other, regaining their composure before running at each other again.  The y moved and turned in a flurry of dancing blades.  After what seemed like hours, the two swordsmen stopped fighting and stared at each other.  Ace was amazed, this man used a blade that was as big as him, yet he used it with almost no struggle and used fighting tecquines that Ace thought seemed impossible.  "You're good, doc."  He said with a grin.  "For a bad guy."  Shadowa looked at ace with a confused expression.  "Bad guy?"  He asked with a small laugh in his voice.  "Hey buddy, I'm no bad-” He was abruptly cut off when a trailer pinned his side.  It did not stop until it hit the "Raging Rocket" rollercoaster Ace turned his head to see Tech flinging large objects at Shadowa with his magnetic abilities.  Shadowa walked out of the ruined ride, his hands healing and wounds inflicted on him.  "Magnetism, eh?"  He smirked.  He raised his hand and used telekinesis to pull Tech toward him.  He then planted a fist into the coyote's face before sending him flying into the air.  Rev suddenly flew upward a caught him as the Loonatics approached Shadowa, ready for his next move.  "Guys, stop!"  Ace stepped in front of the others and waved his hands, ordering them to stop.  "Hold on gang, he's not the enemy!"  The others looked at Ace in confusion, wondering what Ace was talking about.  Duck teleported back with the remaining group members.  He hid from the battle from the very start.

"So, you’re "not" a villain?"  Lexi asked with suspicion, wondering if Shadowa was lying.  Shadowa reached in his pocket and pulled a badge out of his pocket.  It was gold, and seemed to be the shape of a wizard's hat.  Inscribed on it was a large "W" which was surrounded by lighting bolts and a large cyan gem.  "I'm a member of a special military force known as the "Witchgods."  Danger blinked.  "Witchgods?  Whose idea was it to give you such a cra-?"  "Ignoring!"  Shadowa interpreted in a musical tone.  Danger glared at the purple-haired "hero", who cleared his throat before he contained speaking.  "I was sent here to help guard the Mayor of Megaville on his trip here, but I got a call as we left the city."  He paused to yawn before he spoke again, annoying Lexi.  "It appeared that members of a mysterious organization known only as "The Brotherhood of Malah" positioned a base in the outskirts of your city.  The Loonatics gasped.  "Brotherhood...of Malah?"  Lexi asked in confusion.  Shadowa nodded his head.  "Yes."  He said.  "They are a "cult" of some kind.  They desire to "break" the laws of the natural world."  He turned his head to view the sun, which was disappearing over the horizon.  "And they plan on recreating and repopulating the world if the break these "laws"." Rev put his hand on Shadowa's shoulder.  "Sothenwhyaretheysuchathreat?"  He babbled to the warrior.  Shadowa ****ed his head.  "Could you say that again?"  He asked with a sarcastic grin.  "I'm not good at speaking "Mach-5."  Tech laughed and turned to Shadowa.  "He said "so then why are they such a threat?"  He said to Shadowa.  Shadowa paused for a few seconds.  "Ah." He said.  ""Because they have stolen a sword of ultimate power."  The Loonatics gasped.  Ace looked at the Guardian strike sword, remembering his battle with General Deuce.  "A sword?"  Ace asked quietly.  Shadowa nodded.  "Yes, a powerful one to be exact.  It’s called Soul Edge."  A chill ran through the Loonatics at the mention of the sword's name.  Something about its name made the relic seem unnatural.  "So how to we get involved?"  Ace asked with a raised eyebrow.  Shadowa reached into the fanny pack he was wearing and pulled out a datapad.  "I have the location of the Brotherhood's base."  He said, activating a hologram that showed a tiny model of a large warehouse which had large metal towers surrounding it.  The Loonatics gathered closer to view the hologram. "Unfortunely, its security system is too heavily guarded to allow me to sneak in by myself."  The hologram suddenly turned transparent and showed a large set of chambers and hallways that led underground.  "So I needed a special non-Witchgod strike force to join me and attack them during the night.  So I came here to "test" you in order to see if you were fit for the challenge."  He walked up to Ace and rubbed the top of rubbed his head.  Causing his ears to shift down.  "Most of you did fine."  He said grinning.  He suddenly turned to Danger and Tech.  A blank expression over his face.  "On the other hand,” He said darkly rising an eyebrow and crossing his arms.  "Both of you need to be "reconsidered" for the mission before I make and real decisions."  Danger immeditly leapt on Shadowa and began groveling.  "OH PLEASE!  OH PLEASE!  OH PLEASE!  Please don't remove me from the mission.  I'll be a good boy!  Honest!"  Shadowa looked down at the mallard.  His eyes glossy with tears.  Shadowa shrugged his shoulders.  "Well, if you can not leave the battle show me what your powers are, I might change my mi-” Danger leapt up and almost crushed Shadowa.  "OH THANK YOU SIR!"  He cried.  Shadowa caught his breath as Danger jumped back and readied an egg.  Shadowa quickly waved his hands and grinned.  "Not...now...at your...base."  He gasped.  He took a deep breath and resettled himself before beginning to walk with the Loonatics back to the base.

Danger and Shadowa walked out of the training room, both of them were breathing hard and sweating quite profusely.  Shadowa laughed as he grabbed himself and Danger a towel.  "Very good."  He laughed.  "I especially like that teleportation move you use.  What did you call it again?"  Danger grinned as he caught the towel Shadowa threw at him.  "Quacking” He replied proudly.  "Quacking."  Shadow repeated.  "I like that.  You're going to be of great help during the mission."  Danger gulped and looked at Shadowa.  His eyes wide with surprise.  "You mean I'm...in?" The purple-haired hero smiled.  "Yup!  That's correct!"  Danger suddenly ran down the halls cheering.  "YAHOO!  I DID IT! I MADE IT!"  Shadowa laughed as he watched the duck do a victory dance in the hallway.

Shadowa packed his thinks and was about to leave when a red flash went in front of him.  "Heyguy,Techwantstoseeyou."  Rev said at a fast pace to Shadowa, which took a few seconds for the warrior to compute.  "Ah!  Ok then."  Rev was about to leave when he noticed Shadowa looking at him closely.  The roadrunner turned and looked at Shadowa with a curious expression on his face.  "You don't happen to have a brother now, do you?"  Shadowa asked the roadrunner after a few minutes of examination.  The roadrunner nodded his head quickly.  "His name wouldn't happen to be Rip, now would it?"  Rev gasped at the sound of his brother's name come out Shadowa's mouth.  "Did he know Rip?  And if so, how?" Rev thought.  "Um.Yesheis."  He said with a worried tone.  "Oh, Okay!"  He grinned at Shadowa and dashed off before Rev could say anything.

Shadowa walked into the lobby of the base to see Tech there meditating.  "Hello?"  Shadowa said, trying to get the coyote's expression.  He walked up and waved a hand in front of Tech's face.  No response.  "Okay then."  He sighed.  He pulled out his gunblade and fired three loud shots into the ceiling.  Tech snapped out of his trance instantly, growling at Shadowa.  "Hey, I got your attention, what'ya want?"  Tech stood up as Ace and Lexi entered the room.  "What just happened?"  Lexi asked, stuffing cotton balls into her delicate ears.  Shadowa sighed and looked at the bunny.  "Buddy-boy here wanted my attention, than pulled a "Bastila" on me.  So how that I here and ready,"  He spun the loading barrel, it popped out and glowed with red energy before it went back in.  "So what’ya want?!"  Tech glared at Shadowa.  "The mission." He said to the purpled-haired soldier. "Am I ON it?"  Shadowa moved the gunblade to his back.  I attached to a large magnet that was strapped onto his back, allowing him to wear it on his back.  He sighed and turned this back to Tech.

"No."

Ace and Lexi caught up to Shadowa before he reached he elevator.  "No?"  Lexi asked.  Shadowa nodded to Lexi.  "No."  He repeated his response as he reached for the elevator button.  Ace clenched his fists and stepped in front of the button.  Shadowa blinked and made eye contact with the Loonatics' leader.  "Waddya mean, "no"?"  Shadowa flinched at Ace's question, but straightened up and gave a big yawn.  "Sorry, but he's totally "useless" when it comes to the mission."  He said with a straight face.  Lexi winched when Shadowa said the word "useless".  At her high school, it was the term for anyone who was out of the clique, which was mainly her until she started dating Ace.  Her mind floated when her thoughts turned to Ace, but she quickly brought herself back.  Ace wasn't her boyfriend anymore, Tech was.  "But Sir, Tech is a genius at making technology and all sorts of gizmos."  Lexi protested to Shadowa, who turned to face her.  "So does our lead scientist, Dacron Tronics."  He replied.  "I don't need 2 geniuses on this mission.  I only need one."  Lexi thought for a few seconds before responding again.  "He has magnetic abilities."  Lexi said.  "He can move heavy metal objects and stuff."  Shadowa rolled his eyes and sighed.  "The entire base is made of "Minium".  A dense metal that is non-magnetic and resistant to most explosives."  Shadowa crossed his arms.  "Try again."  Lexi thought for a few more seconds before speaking again.  "He has molecular regeneration; he can regenerate most of his injuries almost instantly."  Shadowa shook his head.  "So he can be a living shield?  Mm-mm can't do it."  Lexi sighed.  "Just face it, the coyote's deadweight.  There is no need for deadweight to be on the miss-” Suddenly Lexi grabbed Shadowa by the front of his blazer and shook him violently.  Her eyes blazed with anger.  "Listen here, I don't think it's fair that you can just walk in here and tell people where they can and can't go.  So, why don't you take that gunblade of yours and shove it up your big pompous a-"

"Stop it Lexi."

Lexi and Ace turned to see Tech standing a few feet away.  He was in his PJ's and was holding a datapad in his hand.  "I didn't really want to fight anyway.  I just get into the way." he said, his voice breaking.  Ace walked toward the saddened coyote and put a hand on his shoulder.  "Tech..."  He said.  Tech looked at Ace, his eyes shimmering with tears.  He quickly wiped them away before he ran off.  "Tech!"  Ace called out. As both of them ran after him, Lexi stopped as she heard the elevator door open.  The bunny turned to see Shadowa entering the elevator.  He turned to face Lexi, seeing the hurt and anger in his eyes.  He made a big sigh and mouthed the words "sorry" as the elevator door closed.  Lexi shuttered and faced the hallway.

"Tech." She thought to herself before walking alone down the hall.

Loonatics Unleashed:  The Unknown

Chapter 3

By Malak1147

____________

Tech was alone in his lab later that night.  He was lying on his foldable bed and was watching his favorite soap opera, "All My Circuits", on the visual screen.

"Oh Boxy!"  Cried Calculon, the robotic star of the soap opera.  "Why?  Why did you kill Monique?  WHY?!"  Tech's eyes began to droop and he yawned as he began to fall asleep.  It wasn't long before he fell asleep to the sound of Calculon's voice, dreams of the past dancing in his head.

---

Tech was reading a textbook at the old oak tree nearby the orphanage where he lived.  He was 11 at the time, and was living at the orphanage since he was six.  Because of his looks and intellect, he had no friends, and was considered an outcast by the other orphans.  He glanced at the noisy children, who were either playing football on the field or talking with each other in the parking lot.  He sighed and resumed reading his book.  Moments later, he heard something land nearby him with a thump.  He looked and saw a football a few meters away from him.  He looked at it for a few seconds before he resumed reading his book.  "Hey kid!"  He lifted his head to see a few of the kids walking toward him.  "They probably want the ball."  He muttered quietly to himself.  He put his book down and got up; he picked up the ball and threw it to the kids.  One of them caught it and grinned at Tech.  "Thanks Mutt."  He said to the young coyote. Tech simply rolled his eyes and began to walk back to his spot at the tree. The kid exchanged glances with the others and quickly threw the football at Tech.  It struck him directly at the back of his head and made him fall forward, hitting his head on the tree. The other kids started laughing and Tech lifted his head.  He cursed to himself as he got up and touched his forehead, which was beginning to feel warm.  "Blood."  He thought as he examined his fingers.  "Great, I'm bleeding."  He picked up the football and tried to keep his cool as he handed the ball back to the kids.  "Sorry!"  Said the kid, trying to keep a straight face as he snatched the ball away from Tech.  "I just can't keep my grip on the damn ball!"  The other kids chuckled in reaction to the boy's lie and began to return to the field.  Tech growled quietly as he picked up his book and began to walk back to the orphanage to get a bandage for his head.

---

Tech's eyes slowly opened as he awoke from his dream.  He stared at the visual screen, which was showing a commercial about "Chili Gurt", starring the mayor of Acmetropolis, Mr. Leghorn.  He sighed and pressed a button on the side of his bed which turned off the screen with a click.  He turned over and squinted as he tried to read the time on the alarm clock that lied next to his bed.  "12:45” He muttered as he got up with a groan.  He walked out of his lab quietly, trying not to wake the others up.  He walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, pulling out a slice of pizza wrapped in cellophane and a carton of milk.  He walked over to the counter and was reaching over to get himself a cup when something caught his eye.  It was he datapad that Shadowa gave to the Loonatics which contained the location of the Brotherhood of Malah's hidden base.  As well as the schematics inside it.  Tech's looked at the hologram of the building, then to the doorway which led to the Loonatics' bedrooms.  "Useless, huh?  We'll see” He muttered to himself as he made way to his lab.

It was still dark when Tech arrived at the Brotherhood's base.  Outside, it looked like a simple warehouse, complete with rust and grime.  But inside, the base descended underground to hide an even bigger base.  Tech hid in the bushes a few feet away from the base's huge sliding door where a covered truck drove up to.  He prepared him self with an assortment of pistols, grenades, and other devices in case he got caught.  Tech quickly but quietly ran behind and went under the truck as it drove into the warehouse.  Tech waited for a few seconds before letting go of the truck and lying on the concrete floor.  Tech quickly pulled a small ion pistol from his side and loaded it. As the truck disappeared above him, he quickly got up and aimed upward, ready to fire at anyone or anything that moved.  Nothing was there; no single person was in the area except Tech.  The coyote lowered his weapon and looked around, searching for a door that would lead him deeper into the base.  Tech shivered as he noticed an air vent that seemed big enough for him to fit into.  He walked up to the vent and gently gave cover a light tug.  Its old and rusted structure caused it to be removed with little effort.  Tech put the cover down and crawled inside.  Tech crawled for what felt like hours, stopping momentarily whenever he felt a noise.  Tech was about to decide to go back when he noticed another vent cover. It was smaller than the one he came in, and it seemed to emit an eerie red light.  Suddenly, Tech heard an odd noise come from the vent.  He inched his way toward the vent and gasped at what he saw.  The room contained a set of odd pods, which contained a disfigured, almost monster like creature inside each of them.  He was about to turn back when he heard the sound of a door sliding open.

"But master, it seems unwise to reveal ourselves in such an "unconditional" way..." Muttered a gruff, ogre like voice.  "Nonsense, we will contain with the operation as planned.  I will not let this go for nothing!"  Snapped a cold, smooth voice.

Suddenly, 2 figures entered the room.  The first was completely cloaked, so Tech couldn't see the figure's true identity, but the other one was clearly visible to the Loonatic. He wore the same cloak as the other figure, but the hood was pulled down.  The figure had long black hair, which matched his eyes, which gave him a dark, scheming appearance.  When he folded his arms, a scorpion tattoo was visible on his left arm, which Tech noticed was made of wood.  On his belt, a red-hilted katana was visible, which had no scabbard and light reflected off its blade, shimmering right into Tech eyes.  He blinked and adjusted his position to avoid the gleam and to keep spying on the figures.  "I can assure you Rexas,” The uncloaked figure said to the cloaked one.  "When this is over, we will be closer to our goal."  The figure turned to the pods that held the malformed creatures.  "Now let me see how my "experiments" are doing.” He purred.  He pressed a button on one of the pods and it opened with a hiss.  The creature fell out of the pod before tackling the uncloaked figure, making him fall unto the wall with a grunt.  "Help...Me!"  Roared the creature before it jumped on to the vents trying to escape.  Rexas suddenly grabbed an odd pistol and fired it at the creature.  A dart came from the pistol and attached itself to the creature's back.  Suddenly, the dart exploded, destroying the creature and causing part of the vent to rip open, exposing Tech to the figures.  Yung got up and walked toward Rexas, then noticed Tech, who was regenerating his injuries from the explosion.  The figure approached Tech pulling out his katana.  He was about to hack Tech to pieces with his sword when he noticed Tech's regenerating wounds.  His eyes widened in surprise.  "Regeneration..."  He said quietly to himself.  Rexas looked at the figure, "Master?"  He asked his master.  The figure turned and whispered something to Rexas that Tech couldn't hear.  Suddenly, Rexas walked up to the coyote and yanked him upward.  The figure approached Tech and smiled.  "Hello there creature.  He said to Tech.  "My name is Yung Katung, leader of the Brotherhood of Malah."  Tech gasped in surprise and tried to yank himself free, only to have Rexas' grip on him tighten.  Yung laughed.  You're going to be a great help to us in the future my friend."  He took a syringe of tranquilizer from the desk next to him and stuck Tech's arm with the needle, smiling wickedly.  As Tech began to lose consciousness, he heard Yung's voice fading away.  "Lock him up in one of the prison cells; we'll contact his "friends" later.  And that's when Tech blacked out.  As Rexas dragged the coyote away, Yung turned toward the empty pod that contained the monster.  He reached in his cloak and pulled out a beautifully designed knife.  "We're close Sensei."  He said to himself, running his fingers along the sharp edge.  "We're very close."

The Loonatics were frantic.  It had been hours since they found out Tech had gone missing and they were searching all over Acmetropolis.  To make the search go faster, they decided to go into groups, Slam and Danger would go search the city, while Rev would search the suburbs and countryside.  If they found anything that would relate to Tech's disappearance, they would contact Ace and Lexi, who were at the base trying to locate their missing comrade via satellite.  Lexi bit her lip.  "Where did he go?"  She asked herself with a tone of worry.  Ace put a hand on her shoulder, trying his best to comfort the distraught bunny.  "Hey, don't worry Lex, we'll find him."  He said with thumbs up sign.  Lexi smiled slightly and resumed the programming the tracking satellite to find Tech.  "Searching for subject "Tech E. Coyote".  Spoke the base's computer.  A few minutes later, the machine spoke again.  "All parameters scanned, subject "Tech E. Coyote" not found."  It said with a beep.  "DAMN IT!"  Lexi slammed her fists into the wall, leaving fist-sized indentions.  She breathed heavily and tears began to cloud her vision.  Ace frowned at the withering figure and approached her.  He held her in his arms and gently raised her head.  He wiped the bunny's tears and smiled down on her.  "Hey."  He said again in a calm, optimistic tone.  "Calm down, everything is going to be alright, ok? Trust me."  Lexi sniffed and smiled back at her leader. Their faces inches apart.  Ace was always good at changing the mood of anyone. Even if the person lost a loved one or that they were humiliated in battle.  Ace always seemed to be able to cheer them up.  Lexi liked that about him.  She liked it a lot...

Lexi's eyes widened and she broke free of Ace's grip, quickly turning away.  Ace scratched the back of his head and made a sigh.  "I'm sorry..."  Lexi muttered after a few seconds.  "I shouldn't have done that."  Ace sighed and folded his arms.  "No, it's my fault."  He confessed.  "I just liked it when we were together, when it was the two of us."  Lexi turned and walked up to Ace, taking his hand in hers.  "I know."  She said quietly.  "But things have...changed.  I'm in love with Tech now."  Ace took a large breath and looked at his feet.  Lexi knew he was still upset about them breaking up, and she felt bad about it.  She grinned, and approached her leader.  "However,” She said, pulling Ace close to her, causing him to gasp in surprise.  "I suppose it wouldn't hurt if I gave you one last kiss, for old time’s sake."  Ace grinned at the bunny, which caused her to grin back in the same fashion.  "Wow, you’re despicable."  He whispered to her in a playful tone.  Lexi made a fake frown, pretending to be hurt.  "Oh, am I?  Well then, you'll just have to fix that.  Won't you?"  They both giggled before pressing their lips together.  Lexi slowly wrapped her arms around Ace.  She suddenly began to remember the reasons she fell in love Ace, besides being a great kisser of course, and her feelings for him began to return.

Could it be...?

The visual screen suddenily showed a small message box on the visual screen.  "Attention, message acquired."  Ace broke the kiss and turned to the screen, despite Lexi's protests.  "Identify."  He said to the screen, still groggy from Lexi's charm.  The computer whirred for a second before speaking.

"Live message acquired from "Tech E. Coyote."

Ace and Lexi broke from their trance at the sound of their comrade's name. "Location of message: Unknown."  Ace walked closer to the screen.  "Open visual mode."  He commanded, prepared to ask Tech where he was and what the hell was he doing.  But as the screen turned to live cam mode, it wasn't Tech's face on the visual screen.

It was someone else's.

Ace and Lexi gasped as the mysterious man's face appeared on the screen.  "Hello, Loonatics."  He said.  "I am Yung Katung, leader of the "Brotherhood of Malah."  Ace clenched his fists.  Was this the "Brotherhood" that Shadowa warned them about?  "I believe you have something that belongs to me."  He snarled. "The schematics to my base?" Ace gasped and ran to the kitchen, looking for the datapad.  He returned to the visual screen.  He shrugged his shoulders at the screen.  "Sorry, But I can't seem to find it."  He said.  Yung folded his arms and sighed.  "Please have the rest of your team arrive here now."  Ace looked at Lexi before he pressed a button on his communicator.  "Rev, Duck, Slam, return to the base immediately, we got trouble."  A second after he turned off his communicator,  Rev appeared next to the Rabbit, while Duck teleported himself and Slam next to Lexi.  Yung stared at the heroes for a few seconds before speaking.  "You're missing one."  He said with a blank expression.  Ace sighed and rubbed his neck.  "Yeah, our technician is playing "hide-and-seek" with us, so were sorry if you’re disappointed with your "six-pack".  Yung did not respond for a few seconds, which worried the Loonatics.  "Your "Technician", he wouldn't happen to be green, now would he?"  A pang of worry erupted within Lexi's stomach.  She approached the screen.  "Yeah, do you know him?"  She asked nervously.  Yung laughed softly, he began to walk backwards, away from the screen.  "Know him?"  Yung asked, his voice more excited now.  He then moved away from the screen, revealing a weakened Tech hanging from the ceiling by his arms, which were bound by an odd glowing rope.  "See for yourself."  He laughed.  The Loonatics gasped when they saw Tech.  The bound coyote suddenly raised his head and looked directly at the screen, his eyes wide with fear.  "Guys! Whatever you do, don't listen to him!"  He shouted to the heroes, who were still shocked by their friend's capture.  "He a madman!  He'll-” Yung pulled back his wooden hand and struck Tech in the face, hard.  Lexi made a sharp gasp, and Duck flinched in reaction.  Tech turned his head to look at his captor, who then tightly bound his muzzle with rope.  "Quiet boy!"  Yung barked at the coyote, who only made a quiet whimper before he drooped his head.  Yung walked toward the screen and smiled.  "It's very difficult to train dogs, especially strays."  Yung threw back his head and laughed, which sent chills through the other Loonatics.  Lexi gulped and walked over to Rev, who was now furious at the villain.  "Rev, find the datapad that Shadowa gave to us."  She ordered the avian.  "YougotitLexi!"  He said at a quick pace.  He sped off, muttering to himself as he looked for the datapad.

"Whythatnogood, dirtyrottenfiend! HowdarehekidnapTechandhurthimlikethat!...WhenIfindhim...I'llwillpersonallytakeAce'ssword...andpu****faranddeep...intothatmongral's...Ah!Theritis!"

Rev returned seconds later with the datapad in his hand. He handed it to Lexi who waved it in front of the screen, in front of that...madman.  Yung grinned as he eyed the datapad.  "Very good, girl."  He said.  "Now, on to business."  He turned to see a oddly dressed figure wearing red and white makeup on his face and wearing nothing but a set of slacks and a black cloak holding a red-hilted katana in one hand and a odd looking knife in the other.  "Ah, thank you Rexas."  Yung said and he took the weapons from his servant.  Rexas bowed and left the room.  "Now you know." As Yung began, sheathing his katana and pacing in front of Tech.  "What you are holding is important information about my base, and I want them back before the Witchgods get involved.  So if you'd be so kind as to return the datapad to my base, I would be incredibly pleased."  Yung smiled warmly as he turned to the screen, waiting for the Loonatics' reaction.  Ace raised an eyebrow, ready to ask a final question.  "And if we refuse?"  Ace asked.  Yung's warm expression melted, leaving a blank expression.  He moved his arm and brought the knife to Tech's throat.  The Lexi and Rev gasped, worried about what Yung would do next.  "Then things will turn "very" ugly."  He said.  Suddenly Ace laughed.  "You idiot, don't you know Tech can regenerate any wound that he gets.  You’re wasting your time."  Yung turned to the coyote.  He slid the knife across Tech's chest, leaving a long cut that healed almost instantly.  Yung lifted his head as his mind thought about what Ace said.  "Ah yes."  He said.  "I thought about that."

He brought a hand next to his head and closed his eyes.  "Umbru, saktor, Ishtar mahon ecgrak."  He whispered to himself.   Then, his entire forearm and hand began to emit purple smoke until his entire arm became enveloped with demonic energy.  Yung turned to Tech and brought his hand back.  "And so I devised a theory." He quickly brought his hand to Tech's chest and pushed forward.

Suddenly, to the Loonatics' horror, Yung’s hand began to go through Tech's chest.  Tech shut his eyes and gave a muffled scream of pain as Yung drove his hand deeper inside his captive's chest.  Yung then smiled and he pulled his hand out of Tech's chest, but it was not empty when he turned to the visual screen.  He held out his hand to show a red, throbbing object in his bloodied hand and he showed it to the Loonatics.  Tech's heart was still attached to Tech, but was brutally ripped out of his body   Ace's eyes were wide with terror.  Lexi put her hands to her mouth, fighting the urge to vomit.  Rev almost fainted, Danger wet his pants, and Slam turned away, trying to imagine Yung go away.  "I wonder what would happen it I crushed this?"   He laughed, giving the heart a small squeeze.  Tech made a muffled cry as he suddenly started pulling at the rope frantically, trying to escape the pain. After several seconds of trying, he gave up and just hung there, trying to prevent himself from breaking down.  Tears formed in Lexi's eyes as saw Tech struggle.  The pain was unbearable for him, and yet he still was trying to keep himself together.  Lexi closed her eyes and put her hands together.  "Please God..."  She begged quietly, her voice breaking.  "H-Help us!

Suddenly, her super-hearing picked up the sound of the elevator door open and a set of footsteps entering the hallway.

"Alright, just what the hell is going on?!"  Yelled one voice, which she identified immediately as Shadowa.   "Where is everybody?"

"Perhaps your "friends" like to be invisible."  Joked the other voice, which was unknown to her.  "Or they do not exist."

"Your mom doesn't exist!"  Replied Shadowa loudly.  "I think their in the lobby."

"I hope you right this time, Shadowa."  Sighed the unknown voice.

"Of course I'm right.  After all, I am the-"

The door opened and Shadowa and another figure entered the lobby.  He had an enlarged and wore an odd metal suit; it seemed almost alien like and was engraved with the Witchgod symbol on his shoulder.  He had long silver hair, which complemented his almost purely white eyes.  He seemed to have the face of a man in his late thirties.  On his back he held a large black and silver sword which seemed to have a curved horn growing where the blade met the hilt.  "Yung Katung” He said in a monotone voice.

Yung's attention turned completely toward the heroes when he noticed them.  "Well now!"  He said in a sickly sweet tone.  "It's "The Dynamic Duo, Demoncyne and Tronics”!  How wonderful to see you!”  Shadowa folded his arms and grinned.  "Cut the crap Katung,” He said.  "And tell us what you’re doing "this" time."  Yung shook his head and laughed.  "Why, I just want to make a better world, that's all."  Tronics, as he was apparently called, gave a large sigh before speaking.  "Where's your master, Katung?"  Tronics asked as he walked up to the screen, taking no notice to the others.  "He let me create my own group.  But that's not important right now."  He turned to the Loonatics, who were confused as to what was going on.  "I wish t speak of this matter privately with these two, please leave immediately."  Lexi was about to say something, but instead picked up Rev and followed the others outside the lobby.

Lexi shivered, she never really thought of the people who lived outside of Acmetropolis, let alone how they acted.  It scared her.  In her head, only one thought lingered as she stared at the doorway to the lobby.  Tech.  She shivered again, only this time Ace came up and began to hug her.  She smiled at the attention Ace gave her, but something still bothered her in her mind.

The doorway opened, and Shadowa walked out of the lobby and faced the Loonatics.  "Ace, Slam, Duck, you're coming with me.  Were going to rescue Tech.  Lexi, you and Rev stay with "Tronics" and keep watch of any enemies.  We'll be back soon."

The three heroes walked into the elevator as it closed behind them.  Lexi and Rev turned toward the Lobby door to see Tronics overlooking the visual screen, which was now blank.

"You may enter."  He said in a cold tone.  Which sent chills down the pair’s spines?  Lexi gulped and prepared herself to ask Tronics a few questions, and boy, were they going to be big ones.
