Icy huffed as she dodged out of the way of the giant Robot's foot. Typical. Another cliched giant running around Acetropolis like some badly dubbed old school Tokyo movie. With one simple flick of her wrist a beam of freezing mix of air and moisture froze the robot's foot to the ground.

Icy froze the other foot and then flicked her tail daintily as she turned to her other Teammates. "It's not going anywhere so why don't we have a little fun with it? This is too easy."

Ace laughed as he called down to her from his hovering jetpack. "Heh, I wish we could but Zadavia said to get rid of it stats. Didn't say why but just said that as soon as its gone we need to find the wiseguy who built it..." He turned back to the robot and shot a red hot laser at it from his eyes.

While the others kept it occupied, Tech E. Coyote hovered up to the robot's back and used a small laser to burn a whole in it's metal plating. It was just big enough for the coyote and he slipped in to see if he could dismantel it.....heh. If?

As Tech crawled around inside the bot, Duck was hitting it over and over with his eggs and quacking out of the reach of its fists. "Jeez! Is this thing dumb or what?! It's doing nothing but waving its arms around!"

Lexi rolled her eyes as she turned her Brain Blast off for a second. "And that's a bad thing?"

"I'm just saying..."

Suddenly the giant fis that had been trying to smack Duck out of the air transformed into what looked like a gun. Duck gulped. "Perhaps I'm done saying."

The Loonatics yelped and dodged upwards out of shot as the Robot fired at them. It fixed it's vission on the only Loonatic on the ground who was keeping its feet frozen from the hot summer sun. It turned it gun toward Icy and shot.

Icy looked up at the sudden noise and gasped as something red and black blurred by, picking her up and dropping her off in the next alleyway.

Suddenly the robot tilted to oneside a little and then with the sound of a failing engine it collapsed, falling face first into the street and causing the ground to shake some. Tech pocked his head out of the whole waving a wrench triumphantly in the air. "Got it! Everyone alright?!"

Ace called back down to him. "We're okay up here!"

Icy smiled as she called over. "Fine! Thanks for that Rev!"

Rev smiled back at her brightly. "Sure!" But as he was getting up he bent over double then collpsed in a heap on the floor with a cry of pain.

"REV!" Icy screamed as the others ran over quickly. She turned the half concoise roadrunner over. Right above the chest plate where his left shoulder met was a bullet hole...

Quick tried her best to properly function her jetpack, she was still a little new to it and fumbled to use the right controls. As she struggled to decended, nearly dropping out of the sky in her hurry to get on the ground, she found herself thinking, 'Who ever heard of a flying mouse anyway?'

She'd been a fair distance away from the robot, on a roof top across the street to be exact, obaying Ace's orders to 'keep back unless he called her', which of course, he didn't. So Quick had seen the whole thing unravel before her; the gun aimed at Icy, Rev's speedy rescue, and the fall of the bot. Busy longing to be apart of the battle, she knew nothing of Rev's injury, but was suddenly drawn down by her friend's scream and the comotion of the others.

"Dios Mio!" she gasped as she got closer "What happened to Rev?!" She nearly shrieked as she skidded to a stop behind the others who were surrounding the fox and the fallen teammate.

Tech almost immediately jumped out from the robot and ran to Rev. Cassidy, who had been attacking the robot from behind, was right on Tech's tail. The two knelt beside Rev.

Tech check Rev's pulse. "He's still breathing.." He sighed in relief. "Just unconscious."

Cassidy looked up at Tech. "What do we do now?"

"We need to get him back to the tower. I have just the thing. I knew one of us was going to take a bullet someday but I wasn't expecting it to be Rev." Tech said with sensible calmness. It seemed to work because this sent a message through the rest saying thte injury wasn't fatel. And it wasn't. But it was really close to being so....

Ace nodded toward the Tasmanian devil. "Okay Slam. Pick him up carefully okay?"

Slam grumbled an okay and gently picked the limb figure off the gorund. The loonatics fired up their jetpacks and took off.

Icy tried to wipe the frosty tears from her face before anyone saw them.

Cassidy followed in between Tech and Icy, inwardly panicking. She could tell that Tech was worried. She knew that Tech could be completely and totally calm in the face of the most dangerous situtations, and she also knew that if he was worried, EVERYONE should be, as well....

AT HQ:

Slam put Rev down gently in one of the medlab beds. Tech inspected his wound carefully, with Cassidy right behind him, watching everything. Cassidy was currently being tutored by Tech for medical emergencies such as this. The girl was extreamly squemish, but she was determined to do this. She wanted to be able to help Tech and the others more......

But nothing could prepare any of them for what Tech said next....

Tech blinked , his eyes wide with confusion and sudden worry. The bullet, though not at all fatal where it hit, had something...else to it....

Tech rubbed sweat from his brow. "Um, I don't know how to say this guys but.....the bullet is invisble."

Icy stood from the sidelines wringing her hadns. "Invisible?!"

Tech nodded, completely baffled. "Yeah. I can't find it. And I have to be extrememly careful. It's really close to where Rev's heart is....But that's not what's worrying me." He clicked on a remote and a screen came down with Rev's body on it. The Loonatics could see something green pulsing around the wound.

Tech continued, trying to stay calm. "The bullet is pumbing some kind of toxic into Rev's system. I have no clue what the heck it is but I'm going to have to take a sample to see if there's a cure. If not, I'll make one."

Icy rolled her eyes. "He makes it sound so light." -___-;

Cassidy gulped. This could not be good. She took the sample tube of the green stuff and put it in their maspectrometor. She pressed the start button on the machine then returned to Tech's side.

(Yeah, kinda running out of brain power... And maspectrometor -Totally stole that from NCIS XD)

Ace stood beside the bed, wondering what to say when Frada got here. "Is he..." Lexi walked into the room. "Not yet, but I'll neeed to work fast." tech replied, sitting at his desk. Icy went to the lift and prepared to give some awful news to her friend. Frada stepped out of the lift and started to cry when Icy told her what happened. 'None of us expected this... rev always seemed to be... well, invinsible." Ace hung his head, "Tech, do you have anything on the toxin?" Tech nodded and pointed to the computer screen. "The toxin will be fatal after 3 hours, and is only curable by freezing Sodium Chloride." He said. Duck wailed and stamped his foot, "WHAT is Sodi-whatchimacallit? i bet we have to go halfway around the world and battle some stupid monster guards to get it!" Everyone groaned and sank into chairs. "Actually, Sodium Chloride is common salt."

While Tech and Cassidy worked in the lab the rest of the Loonatics went back upstairs to their usual hang out.

Duck was pacing back and forth and Lexi noticed this as she looked up from her magizine. "Whoa, Duck. I didn't know you were so worried about Rev." Se said with a smirk at the corner of her mouth.

"I'm not!" Duck snapped then checked himself. "Oh, well, I am but that's not why--"

"You have ants in your pants..."

Duck fidgeted a little. "Yeeeaah...." Suddenly the doorbell nuzzed and Duck nearly jumped out of his feathers. "YIPES!!!"

Icy got up and went to the elevator. She gasped and went to hug the figure that came inside. "EEEK! Sister! XD"

Mairi squealed energetically and squished the smaller anthro in a bone-crushing hug.

"Giddaaaaay!" she cried happily, rocking herself and Icy back and forth in their embrace. "It's been, like, foreveeeerrr!!!"

Dcuk's eyes nearly came out of his head. "AAAGH!!!" He looked around frantically, holding his head. The panicing mallard then yelped and Qucked out of site.

Icy elbowed Mairi. "That's his way of saying he's happy to see you."

(And no, those two can not be sisiters. Icy's a girl, Snowy's a boy. Icy's a fox, Snowy's a dog. Icy is an Oc from a poorly made wannabe anime spin off and Snowey is from a classics comic book series that is being made into a kick butt movie XD)

"Flop, I miss you guys so much when I'm at worrrrrk!" She then threw a quick glance around the room. "Where's my bubby?" She asked bluntly, her face becoming bitter. "He better not be avoiding me. He promised to take me to the show."

Ace Gave him a blank look.

Icy's expression suddenly dropped and she downcast her eyes. "Only... I don't think Rev is going."

Just then Duck quacked into the room. He crossed his arms. "Okay, a breif report from Tech. Rev is up and walking. Tech's still trying to figure out some anti-whatever but says he can go tonight....." He suddenly blushed when he saw Mairi. "Erm...Hey Mairi. You look nice tonight...." He said with what woould have been mistaken as annoyance...but that's just how he rolled.

Icy rubbed her shoulder, feeling slightly guilty. "He kinda too it for me..."

Mairi glances at each of the team's faces.

"Guys, this line of business is bad for your health." She stated bluntly.

Ace snorted. "Funny, I could say da same ting for YOUR occupation."

Without thought, Mairi placed her hands on her hips and opened her beak. "Funny, I could say da same ting for YOUR occupation." Quickly, she clamped her own beak shut, a shocked expression on her face. Before she had a chance to apologise, Ace raised his hand.

"I know, Mairi. I know. Forget it." He sighed.

Icy suddenly burst out laughing, leaning against Cassidy as the two of them went into a giggle fit.

Duck grinned silly as he put an arm around Mairi. "Alright! That's my girl!"

"Try mimicking this! Meep meep!"

Everyone turned to see Rev and Tech coming out of the elevator.

"Oh no! He's gone primal!" Quick stated convincingly shocked, though her sly smirk showed off the playful sarcasm as she walked into the Common Room from one of the rooms surrounding the TV area.

She'd gone in there swiftly as soon as they got to the tower; she needed to find the mp3 Tech made her. Music was the only thing that could calm her nerves at that time.
She never did take the pain of loved ones very well. It was one of her few weaknesses.

Upon seeing Rev, her rival, though good friend, unconsious and shot on the pavement like he was, she kind of distanced herself from the others; just enough to shake off the initial shock.

"Rev!" The girls (minus Quick) yelled in obvious joy, as the boys looked on with smiles.
Everyone rushed over to the two at the elevator door greeting the now consious Runner; Though Quick got there first, on account of her being true to her name.

"Good to see you up and...well....up, Rev." The small hero showed a genuinely happy smile to her feathered friend, walking up to him and patting his shoulder; making sure to only touch the uninjured one.

"Muy bueno."

Rev smiled as he rubbed his wounded shoulder. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired."

Tech nudged him sternly. "Don't mess with it or you'll start bleeding again."

Cassidy nearly fainted but Icy propped her up before she could get a chance. The fox smiled at Tech. "He okay to go out tonight?"

Tech sideglanced the roadrunner. "As long as he dosn't do anything stupid..."

Rev crossed his heart. "Swear on my hole-y heart. Now lats get this show on the road!"

Icy had to catch Cassidy before she fainted again....

"Yeah, I don't think Cassidy can take much more" Lexi said hiding a giggle behind one hand as she pointed to the quezzy Coyote with the other.

The Loonatics and company took one one of Tech's vehicles that was something like a buss, All the friends sat around ready for the looong trip ahead of them. It was eleven in the morning but they wouldn't get to the hotel they were staying at until around nine. They had been planning this for weeks A road trip to the biggest carnval of the century, stay in a hotel, go to the carnival for a couple of days, spend some time near the beach and the town and head back.

On there way they picked up a couple more friends (in case someone else here wants to join) and were on there way to the carnival. Ace was driving with Tech in the passenger's seat while everyone goofed off in the back behind them. Because the vehicle was more like a bus then anything they didn't wear seat belts and even got up to move around a little.

"So, Maz," Lexi began, throwing a peanut at the lyre bird in order to gain her attention. "Before, when you called the carnival a 'show'... What was up with that?"

Mairi stared at her blankly before a look of realisation dawned on her face.

"Oh! When I first got to the tower?" She was perched next to Slam, leaning against his brawny arm with her head resting comfortably on his shoulder. "That's what we call them down at AcmeAustralia-"

"Yeah yeah yeah, tell 'em what you call cotton candy down there while you're about it. It'll save the explanation for when we're there..." Duck cut in, sitting next to her accross the isle.

She glared at him briefly before rolling her eyes toward the ceiling of the vehicle. "Fairy floss."

Duck laughed heartily.

(LOL Serenity, when you said that Cassidy fainted, I got a scene from HSM3 where Sharpay fainted in my head. XDDD)

Cassidy sat in complete silence behind Tech. Her stomach was doing flipflops, making her dizzy. She had a feeling that today she'd have to tell her freinds the truth. What she knew for sure is that she was TERRIFIED.

Icy noticed the queezy look on Cassidy's face and then leaned over the seat at her. "Hey, not many people know this, but icecream helps settle car sickness." She winked and her eyes glowed blue.

Mairi gasped in absolute horror!

She then paused to think for a moment.

"I haven't been to an AcmeAmerican one... I mean, I've seen posters and stuff and they have WAY more stuff than we did back home..." She then proceeded to wander off into her own little world of deep, deep thought.
