Yeah, I dunno... I was laying in bed this morning (gasp! No!?) and the thought suddenly ocured to me that, although Duck's pretty nasty to the rest of the team, he's had numerous friendship moments with Slam...

Because Wile and the Roadrunner were enemies, it was only natural that Tech and Rev would be teamed up the most often. And seeing as Lola and Bugs totally had crazy monkey sex on Daffy's front lawn, then it was obvious that the writers were going to make Lexi and Ace have some weird distantly-related relationship...

But why Duck and Slam? I figured it was because that they were the two leftovers... But it's weird that out of the entire team, Duck seems to have taken to Slam the most...

Yeah. Let's talk about the Loonatics for once. XD

I'm currently laughing my head off at what you said about bugs and lola, which prompted psycho thoughts about MY OC Lola and Ace... Yeah, so Slam and Duck! OOOOHHH! Let's call it...

I have to agree with you on this one. I Think Duck and Slam ARE Best Buds nod.gif

I mean...they had a WHOLE EPISODE together.....thoughhhh Duck was totally using him to make a quick buck almost getting him mauled and killed in the process >___> *cough;cough*

But I do have to admit Duck is particularly kind towards the Tasmanian.

Well, I can't really imagine WHY the writers or whoever thought to pair these two up as friends......other than the reason you stated that is. hmmmm...

But even though they're leftover friends, they're still pretty hardcore together... And somewhat cute from time to time...

Like when Duck walks over to Slam and happily pats his stomach in 'The World Is My Circus'.

Or when Duck scolds Slam for gorging with his mouth open in 'Going Underground'.

Or when there's that cute little exchange between them both after they escaped the train back in 'Secrets Of The Guardian Strike Sword'.

"Many of which have been EATEN."
"I got hungry... *bashful smile*" (I watched this episode with subtitles on when using my brother's computer, and that's what it translated into! It was fecking awesome! XD)

Or in 'Family Business' when Duck blankly watches Slam nomming the pizza boxes before throwing his hands up in the air and saying: "At least take them out of the box first, Slam!"

I could name a bagillion moments with these two XD

Technically, the properly contrasting colour to purple is yellow. And by that logic, it should be Ace and Slam who are best buddies.

Buuuuuuuuuuut, since Ace can't have sex with Slam without ruining all of our minds, he's been paired with the only female on the team who may or may not be related to him somewhere down the road. XD

As for Duck and Slam being good friends... I think that it sounds reasonable. Even if there's that whole "Oh, you guys don't have best buddies yet... *Squish squish*" thing going on, they work well together. They're kinda like a slapstick comedy duo. " 8D

They really are. I find that the writers used such formulaes alot throughout the series... Slam and Duck, Ace and Lexi, Rev and Tech...

That's why in mah fanfiction, the teams are a little bit more mixed. :3

But enough about non canon stuff, as this is a canon thread...

I did enjoy how they were sitting on the couch together watching the basherball game at the start of 'Stop The World I Want To Get Off'. Ttly bff moment. :3

Poor Duck. He tried so hard to live up to Slam's expectations. But alas, deep down he knew... He knew that Slam would never love him as much as he loved Pizza.

That was why Duck was driven to do what he did.

It happened after Duck caught his partner with Pizza. It wasn't the first time, but something inside his brain snapped, and he knew it would be the last time the two were ever together...

In the dead of night, Duck did the unthinkable. Normally, he would never have considered murder... But his love for Slam exceeded all rational thought...

Duck killed Pizza... For Slam.
