Now, here's a bit of background info as to why I'm so disdainful. I read the first Inkheart book once... or at least a lot of it.
It was the most boring thing I'd ever read EVER. The characters were bland and lifeless, except for Dustfinger, who I admit sounded sexy... kinda. I mean, he had appeal because he was a doubly fictional character. He came from a story within the story. I thought that was awesome.
But other than that, everything was terribly lame. TERRIBLE. And I can read almost ANY book. For reals. I had to stop before I got any farther. All I really gathered was that some doubly fictitious character wanted the main character's father to read a book about money so he could get more money.
Anyway... with that little rant done, I would like to say that I expect that the film will be even worse. After all, if they butchered the Harry Potter films like the last two, (Even though I did like their pick for Luna. 'Cuz Luna is awesome.) I think it's fair to reason that this will be... well... if I ended up seeing it, I'd probably remove my eyes with a stapler.
Your thoughts?
PS: If you like the books, I apologize to you. They just make me cringe every time I think about it. The worst part is that this means there will be more than one film. D:
Hey, I loved the books, but I can understand why some people wouldn't. There were some parts where I just said UGH! Does it ever END!
