Mairi moved away from Sapphire and Duck [allowing Duck to scoot closer to the human to inquire further] and sat between Icy and Cassidy.

"Alright fellers. Tonight's the night. The three of us are getting off-our-face smashed, and no one's stopping us. Alright?" She said in an eerily serious tone.

"Saph, do you mind telling me?" he asked without his usual arrogant manner. She nodded, and took a deep breath, "There was an accident, and the reason I don't drink is because, well, the person who hit them was drunk when he drove."

Duck widened his eyes in surpise, but let her continue, "They said my mom died on the spot, but my dad fell in a coma for 3 weeks before he left."
