(i will take this extra time i have to take Quick on a mini tiney winey adventure XD becuz I CAN! >8D)

Quick couldn't scream. her throat was all dry and she felt like if she tried to scream she'd break her windpipe. Her eyes screamed though. Wide as sausers, Quick's normally hazel brown irises were gone as all there was to see, sourrounded by shocking white, were her black pupils shrunken in, out of her fear.

Pocco continued to run, unaware of his riders distress, or perhaps....Quick thought, he was sensing her distress. Did that make things worse? Was SHE causing poor Pocco MORE distress? Gosh, she just wasn't getting the handle on this hole "horse riding" business...
...but she had to try.

Quick reached down with a shakey hand to pat the horse's neck.

"E...EeeEasy there boy. It's...IiT's oOoOoK!" she attempteed to comfort Pocco, who continued to gallop toward some unknown destination.

Ben crashed right beside her in a cloud of dust. She momentarily choked on the dust before she felt a hand gently straightened her up. Ben, looked at her worriedly, "You okay?"

"That's gonna hurt in the morning," she muttered before he pulled both of them to their feet when Seth reached them. Just barely reassuring him that no major harm was done, a shrill scream rached their ears, "QUICKKK!!!!!"

Seth looked up in horror and with a fast gesture to the others made their ways to their own horses. Twilight looked up when Sapphire approached her, her eyes as if asking her something.

Sapphire looked puzzled for a minute before, by some weird and utterly un-Sapphire-ish way, understood what she was trying to say.

"Don't worry girl, you didn't mean it to happen," Sapphire said softly stroking the mare's mane. Then she looked up and her old self came back, 'how the heck am I going to get up there again?'

She had jumped onto a low stool and climbed onto Twilight back at the ranch with Cassidy, but now...... "Need a hand?" a voice broke into her thoughts.

She looked up and saw Ben's cheeky smile, "I guess," she shrugged looking helplessly forwards. He placed his hands on top of the other and bent down, and allowed Sapphire to have a small lift onto the suddenly still Twilight.

"Thanks," she smiled down at him. "Don't mention it," with that he turned around and ran back to his horse. Sapphire gave Twilight a slight aqueeze as the mare broke into a fast canter after Seth's retreating back when a thouight struck her, why didn't she try to jump in the first place?

Hmm, obviously the fall had knock the rational part of her mind out. XD

Cassidy's face turned red in embarassment. "Sorry, Rev. I kinda got wrapped up in saving Tech and Lucky from falling into the ravine."

Tech pretended to roll his eyes. "Apparently I scared her."

Cassidy gave him a swift punch in the arm. "You did! After all the times you've almost died on me it's amazing I react to situations like this at all any more!!!"

"Ermm guys," Rev interjected afer some time, his eyes glowing a light red. The others turned to look at him.

"I think the others are in a kinda tight spot," he said nervously.

Suddenly, Tech's wrist communicator crackled and came to life.

"Yo, Tech! Cassidy! Icy! Rev! You guys dere?" Ace's voice called through the communicator.

"We're here, Cheif. What's up?"

"There's three bad guys headed for the ranch! Get your tails over dere pronto!"

"On it, Cheif!"

Rev quckly gotr on his horse, and when I say quickl;y I mean he nearly made his horse die of a heart attack with surprise, and then Icy mounted hers, plopping Ozzie back into the bag while h protested, "Watch the bumps! Not too fast! Hey! Not too faaaAAAAST!!!!"

Icy bolted off on Domino, looking behind her shoulder to give the others a smirk.

"Ohoho! Is that a challenge?!" Rev kicked at his horse and it picked up speed, running alongside Domino with only a head behind.

Cassidy giggled and hopped up on Phantom, and the two shot off after Rev and Icy. Suddenly, she stopped, and tried to go down a different trail.

"Phantom! No! We're going this way!"

Phantom stamped her hoof and kept pushing towards the other path. Cassidy sighed. "What is it girl?"

Phantom nickered and tossed her head in the direction of the other path.

"Guys, I think Phantom knows a short cut!"

Cassidy didn't have time to get Phantom in gear when two blurs ran past, the wind from the aftermath nearly pulling her off the saddle. Rev and Icy had taken off in that direction, still trying to beat one another o the villians.

Tech shook his head. "You see what I had to grow up with? They act like children..."

Seth cantered after Quick, who now looked like she was going to barf out 15 ft. of her intestines.
"PULL THE REINS!" he screeched to her.

Sapphire pulled up beside Seth, her knuckles white from gripping the reins. Twilight cantered forward and they turned a corner far behind Quick.

Quick tugged hard on the reins and for a second it 'seemed' as if Pocco was slowing down.

Cassidy shook her head. "Honestly, that doesn't surprise me..." The pair laughed as they attempted to catch up with Rev and Icy.

(Well, Cass, Tech, Rev, and Ice got ambushed by a few of the wranglers, Cass got tossed and Phantom took off. Tech and Cass chased Phantom down, caught her, and then Lucky and Tech nearly fell into a deep ravine, but Cass and Phantom pulled them out. And now Rev, Ice, Tech and Cass are going back to the ranch to cut off three other bad guys.

As for the others, I'm not really sure. XD)

(For Seth's team, they kept moving on and got ambushed. But then Seth saved all of them, making a big hole in the process which resulted in Sapphire slipping of Twilight and Seth managed to help her before being trampled by Ben's horse. Pocco then took off and now they're chasing him to get Quick. Ace and the others are at a clearing with some wild horses)

Phantom tossed her head and took off at a fast gallop, beginning to close the gap between her and Rusty and Domino. She trailed them closely until they finally arrived at the ranch. All four of them brought their mounts to a stop and inspected the ranch area for any signs of the wranglers.

"No sign of them yet." Cassidy breathed.

"We must have beaten them here." Tech said, pulling up beside her.

The team was still rushing over to catch up with Quick, their horses thundering hooves drowned out the sound of their beeping communicators.

The roadrunner's eyes glowed again. "They should be.....inside!"

Quickly and quietly, the four dismounted and tied their horses up at one of the hitching posts. With Tech in the lead and Cassidy right behind them, they slowly entered the barn. If those guys thought they could get away with stealing the Boswell's horses, they were gravely mistaken.

Just as they were about to turn the corner into the main aisle of the barn, they heard a faint whimpering sound.

Cassidy's ears pricked and her eyes widened. She'd recognize that sound anywhere.

Tech glanced back at her. He recognized the sound, too.

Cale.

------------------ (DRAMATIC BREAK FOR THE FREAKIN' WIN! XD)

Meanwhile, Ace, Lexi, Duck, and Agent Dasyurus (I spelled her name right, right? XD) were hidden in the trees and bushes, completely silent, waiting for any sign of the wranglers.

The herd of wild horse had settled down and had continued grazing at the sweet green grass. Several mares glanced up at time to time to check on their foals, who were chasing each other in a big game of tag nearby.

Suddenly, the lead stallion, a honey-coloured mustang, pricked his ears up and looked around at their surroundings, obviously having heard something. The mares noticed this and also searched the surroundings. The foals automatically stopped their game and ran to their mothers' sides. They all knew it, there was danger lurking near....

(Good greif I love writing about horses. XD)

Suddenly, a band of hooded wranglers rode out into the meadow, screaming and laughing, circling ropes high above their heads. The wild horses were quickly surrounded, stricken with fear and outnumbered. The mares tried to protect their foals, but in a few short moments, their necks were being roped and no amount of kicking, bucking or panicking could loosen their bonds.

"Oh those poor things-" Lexi began. "Ace! Can't we help them??"

"If we intervene now, Lex, den we won't find out where dey're keepin' da horses dey steal, and we'll never be able ta free da rest of dem." Ace assured, giving her a comforting side-hug for good measures.

"Help schmelp! I say we beat it now and head back to the ranch. I don't wanna sneak around behind enemy lines." Duck spat at the two bunnies in a tone of anger used to mask his own fear.

"Like I said before. Chicken." Agent Dasyurus sustained with a firm nod, earning a bitter glare from the mallard.

After a few more minutes, all of the horses were captured and being led away through taunts and cruel, ominous laughter.

"Dis is it, gang! Stick to da forest and keep quiet. We maintain a good distance and don't get seen, den we locate deir hide-away and report back to da ranch..."

"That's if Icy and her little group have kept those three wranglers from tearing it down." Duck muttered under his breath as the team mounted their respected rides and began pursuing the captured wild horses.

Meanwhile, Icy and her little group were taken by surprise. Tech ripped a crate open and out tumbled little cale, curled up crying and sucking her thumb.

Cassidy picked her up immidiatly, tears forming in her eyes. "Oh my gosh! Cale sweetie! What did they do to you?!"

Cale said nothing but continued to cry, hugging her mother around the neck.

Tech clenched his fists and snarled deep in his throat. "They touched my aughter! Those sons of--"

Rev stopped the coyote from storming off by zipping in his way. "No! Wait Tech! I know you want to gt back at those guys but brains before brawn! We need to sneack in on them!

"We can't leave poor Cale here along..." Cassidy sniffled as she hugged her daughter closer.

"I'll watch her..." Ozzie said softly as his jewel pulsed a little. Cassidy hesitated but placed Cale down in some straw and Ozzie bounded down to comfort the todler. "Hello there Cale!"

Cale sniffled as she sucked her thumb. "Fewwet..." The litle girl then grabbed Ozzie and pulled him into an air tightening hug as she started to fall asleep.

"Gah!"

Icy's ears suddenly perked up. "Hey! I think I hear something in the coral!"

"Well then lets get over their and kick their ass! Those creeps are gonna wish that those horses trampled them after I'm done!" Cassidy's eye flared up and she dahsed out the barn door with the others following...

(If you want you can change it. It was all I could think of though. XD)

As the Pocco came to a slow walk, Seth sighed.
"They're we go." he turned his head to see the rest of his team approach.
He smiled and glanced at his communicator.
10 missed calls.
"Aw crap..." muttered the alchemist under his breath.
"Alrighty gang, lets head back to the ranch. Apparently somthing's up." and he lead the team around the forest, taking the longer way back.

It didn't take long to drown out Duck's irritating complaining. Ace moved on ahead, followed closely by the agent, then Lexi before the whining mallard brung up the rear. The yellow bunny didn't need to give Thunder many instructions; he was a natural leader, moving silently over the leaf litter. Daryusus was still very wary of her horse, allowing a look of apparent discomfort to cross her face everytime the beast flicked its mane. Lexi leant forward and petted Ghost's neck affectionately, glad that at least she wasn't in the hands of those wranglers. And Shadow continued to flick his head back, as if to tell Duck to shut the f up... Duck, however, didn't take the hint.

"-Wandering around for hours in the middle of nowhere, just getting lost deeper and deeper in this forest that just keeps getting thicker and thicker! And here I am, suffering exstensive pain from having to sit in a saddle all day long, following a bunch of do-gooders and know-it-alls in order to get captured by an incredibly organised crime team where I'll probably end up suffering MORE pain-"

"Duck!" Lexi whispered harshly. "We're suh-posed to be quiet!"

Duck continued talking, as if he hadn't heard her. "ONLY to have whats-her-face here trying to tell me to shush! I won't stand for it anymore! I have half a mind to turn back-"

"You should have finished that sentence at 'I have half a mind' and it wouldn't have been far from the truth." Lexi hi-foured the agent for her comback, and Duck glared irritably at the two.

"Chicks. I'll never get them."

"I feel sorry for Mazz then." Lexi smirked.

"Who is... Mazz?" The agent asked.

"Oh! Mairi. She's Duck's girlfriend." Lexi jerked her thumb back in Duck's direction.

"HE has a girlfriend??" Dasyurus whispered in surprise.

"Yeah, so stick that in your juice box and suck it-" Duck was then cut off by Ace's abrupt "SHHH!"

The bickering three turned to their leader and followed suit as he dismounted his horse. Leaving behind their four-legged friends, confident that they wouldn't leave, the team of four peered between some bushes at an enormous clearing, protected by tick, forest walls of trees and plants. At the centre of the clearing stood a two story building, surrounded by stables and riding rings, all occupied with different breeds of horses.

"Dis is it gang. We're here."

"I've been trying to find this place for months-" Daryusus whispered in awe, committing everything she saw to memory. "I'd almost lost hope that I'd ever find it and expose these crooks."

"Tech? Rev? Seth? Saph? Icy? Cass? Is anyone there?" Lexi spoke into her communicator, trying to keep silent.

Tech reached out and grabbed Cassidy's arm, pulling her back towards Icy and Rev. He quietly peek around the corner.

"They've got Mr. and Mrs. Boswell." He whispered.

"That's how they got Cale! Mrs. Boswell was watching her for me!" Cassidy growled slightly, her ears pinned back against her head in anger.

Tech motioned for them to group together. "Okay, I've got a plan. Ice, Cass and I will distract and catch the wranglers while Rev uses his speed to get the Boswells out of there. Got it?"

The three nodded, but Icy spoke up. "How are we gonna sneak up on them? The corral's in plain sight, there's nowhere to hide and sneak up."

Tech glanced at his wife. "Cass? You think you can use your shape-shifting powers on us?"

Cassidy looked hesitant. "I don't know.. but I'll give it a try..."

Seth heard Lexi's voice through the communicator as the group reached their destination.
"Hear ya' loud and clear Lex, what's up? Don't see soul around the entire ranch."

Icy's ears pressed backwards as she giggled nervously. "Heheh. Right. So! When's the next plane out of here?"

"What's THAT supposed to mean?!" Cassidy growled.

Icy tried to smile. "No offense Cass but I don't want to end up like the wonder ferret over there..."

Cassidy squared her shoulders and huffed a little. "Are you saying I can't control my powers?"

"No! I just--"

"Well nothing! You want to see how well I can use my powers then you're gona get it!" Cassidy concentrated and her eyes flared up. Icysuddenly felt herself turn smaller and small. She yelped when she finally looked up to see her three friuends gaping down at her.

"What?! What happend?!" She asked in a high squeaky voice. She gasped when she saw Ozzie walk over. He was huge!

The ferret took one look at her and fell to the floor holding his forehead and laughing. "HAHAHAH!!! Wow! I thought I had it bad! Woohohoo!!!"

"What?!"

Rev stiffled a snicker as he picked her up. "Oh nothing...pfft...Mini Mouse!"

Icy looked herself over. "EEK! I'M A MOUSE?! OF ALL THINGS YOU TURN ME INTO A MOUSE??!!!"

Casidy scratched her head a little. "Oops..."

"We've found the wranglers ranch. Finish whatever it is you're up to and come over. I'll send the co-ordinates. Ace doesn't want us making a move for some time now, so you might as well stay where you are for a bitthough." Lexi whispered into the communicator.

(Serenity, I bow at your amazing powers of knowing exactly what to have Cassidy say. :3 *bows*)

Tech sighed. "It'll work for now." He faced Cassidy. "You're sure that you can change us back when we go in?"

Cassidy nodded. "Yes. I am."

"Alright then.." Tech held out his hand to her. Cassidy took it firmly in hers and concentrated, her eyes glowing light blue, then eventually spreading to her whole body, then on to Tech's. Tech felt himself get shorter and shorter, until finally he was a mouse, as well.

Cassidy stopped glowing for a few moments as she took a deep breath. All this shape-shifting was wearing her out. After a few moments of breathing, Cassidy closed her eyes one more time as she shape-shifted herself.

Rev stayed against the wall where they had been hiding, watching as the three mouse-kateers headed for the corral. Quickly, they zipped up the corral, wiating for the right moment.

The three wranglers had Mr. and Mrs. Boswell surrounded, and by the sounds of it, they were looking for information.

The three moved closer, and closer, until finally......

"YEOWCH!!!" One of the wranglers screeched and tried desperately to get something off of his foot.

Tech sighed and exchanged knowing looks with Icy.

She couldn't even had waited to shape-shift back into herself before beating the snot out of the bad guys.....

Icy shrugged and ran up to the nearest guy, clampering up his pant leg and into his shirt. The man yelped and then began to dance around, trying to get whatever was inside his shirt out.

Rev his a giggle behind his hand and then dashed over to the coral. The bad guys had their backs turned to their captives and Rev quickly grabbed them and dragged them back to the barn where he began to untie them.

The wrangler whose foot Cassidy had a tight hold of by her teeth finally managed to grab a hold of her by the neck and yank her off. He held her up to his face, smirking. "Well, what do we have here?"

"One VERY tissed off mother, thank you!" Cassidy replied.

Before the guy could even drop her in shock fro realizing that she could talk, Cassidy reached out and bit his nose, as well.

"GAH!"

Meanwhile, the other two were attempting to rid their shirts of whatever had climbed into them, namely, Tech and Icy. After several minutes of dancing and scratching, the two fell out on to the ground.

"Cass! NOW!" Tech shouted.

By now, everyone in Seth's group and lifted their communicators and since all their communicators were rigged to pick up the same signal, they could hear the exact same thing.

"Ok, where are you guys any-" she stopped short.

They had just reached an outskirts of a clearing and opposite them were Ace's team, with Lexi still on the communicator. Both teams looked up and cought the others eye at the exact same time.

They must have doubled back when chasing Quick, oh the irony.... XD

(This is the fourth freakin' time I've had to redo this post. I'm getting very frustrated. DX)

Cassidy's, Tech's, and Icy's bodies all started glowing blue as Cassidy reversed her powers and they were changed back into their usual selves.

The three men glared at the three Loonatics, slowly reaching for their guns.

Tech snarled as he reached for his gluco-gel gun, which was fixed by Tech at some point during this role-play when you were not paying attention.

Cassidy and Icy stood side-by-side, both glowing the same colour. Icy threw her hand forward, freezing the one wrangler's hand to his weapon. "Chill out, dude!"

Cassidy brought her hands together in a fist and slammed them on the ground, attempting to channel her powers through the ground, as her sister and Ace had tried so hard to help her learn.

Tech glanced at her in concern. She had trouble with this on solid ground. She had never tried anything like grass or sand before.

It seemed to be working. Cassidy's entire body and the ground were now glowing blue. The glow was quickly spreading towards the wranglers, who stood in shock, unsure of what she was doing.

Cassidy smiled. Icy was wrong. She could control her powers! Or, at least she thought, as she soon felt her control slipping. The glow was starting to come back to her. This was not good.

Tech reached out to try and grab her, but pulled his hand away quickly. She was literally on fire, but he knew he had to get her out of the way of the back fire. Ignoring the pain from the heat, Tech grabbed Cassidy's arm and yanked her away from the glowing ground.

This snapped her out. She stopped glowing, but the glow on the ground remained, only to-

BOOM!

Welll..... Back-fire.

(That's all for now. I'm too tissed off at our internet to do more)

Cassidy, Tech, and Icy were thrown back against the corral fence from the force of the blast. The wranglers were knocked over, but otherwise unharmed.

Tech sat up wobbily, looking at the girls. Both were motionless. Tech nudged them. "Ice, Cass, wake up! Quick!"

Icy moaned and rolled on to her back. "What the heck was that?"

"A Back-Fire." Cassidy whispered, pushing herself up on to her knees.

Icy gave her an 'I told you SO' look.

Tech went to help the girls to their feet, but was suddenly grabbed from behind. An arm wrapped itself around his neck, and a hand was slapped around his muzzle, keeping him from warning the girls about the two wranglers who were sneaking up behind them........
