"HAAA!!!"

A sudden shock wave of light sent the wranglers on their backs a distance away from the girls.

The thug holding Tech was also knocked flat, but this tme by a red blur. Rev picked him off the ground and tied his hands behind his back. "Mess with the geek and you mess with me!"

The two wranglers that were thrown back got up to see a Ozzie staring at them. He crossed his arms. "If I were you I'd stay down."

The two looked at each other and began to get up. Ozzie shrugged. "I warned ya..." His paw flew to his stone as he squared himself up and a blast of energy waves shot out, knocking them back another few yards. Rev zipped over, running around the two and tying the rope around them.

He dusted his hands off and he and Tech went to help Cassidy and Icy up.

"Thanks, guys..." Cassidy said, getting to her feet.

Tech set his hand on Cassidy's shoulder. "Are you okay? Your powers have never given you that bad of a back-fire."

"Yeah, I'm fine." Cassidy gave him a reassuring smile. But it was a mask. EVERYTHING hurt. But it would go away soon.

Rev helped Icy stand up and smiled at her.

Icy huffed. "I can stand on my own, y'know."

"Just tryin to be nice." Rev held his hands up and backed off. Suddenly, his arms were pinned behind him and he felt ropes wrap around him and pull him to the ground.

Tech, Cassidy, and Icy lept forward to help him, but each were attacked and pinned down.

Ozzie's jewel lit up and just as he was about to help out his freinds, he was grabbed by the scruff of his neck and tossed into a bag.

Out of seemingly nowhere, more of the wranglers had appeared. Where the heck were they all coming from???!!

(DUN DUN DUUUUNN!!! D8 I would love you guys forever if you had one of the others try and contact Tech Cass Icy and Rev through the communicators. :3)

(Well, this is freaky because that last post was so telepathic it was scary. I was gonna right the exact same thing! Cassidy hurting, Rev helping Icy but getting smack, the ambush, Ozzie getting thrown in a bag! SCARY! D8)

Ace looked around in concern. "eeh, they should have been here by now..."

Lexi tried to be the positive on and make light of things. She was very good at it but this time it wasn't working. "Maybe Cassidy talked them into going on a joy ride..."

Ace shook his head and tried to call up Tech. "Hey Tech? Where are you guys?...."

There was a deadly silnce. Ace exchanged looks with the others before trying again. "Tech?...Rev?..... Icy! Cass! Oh boy. Okay gang! Let's go look for them! I have a really bad feeling about this..."

Suddenly, there was a crackling sound from Ace's communicator. "Tech? That you?"

"If I were you, I'd be worrying about your teammate's safety."

"Who the heck are you?!"

A video came to life on the communicator, showing Cass, Icy and Rev tied up, with masked guys pointing guns at them. By the looks on their faces, the girls were NOT pleased with this arrangment...

Tech's face suddenly appeared. "Hehe, hey Cheif."

"Tech!! What in the name of Acmetropolis is goin' on?!"

"Welllllllll......"

"Get back to the ranch and surrender yourselves to us or they all die." The mysterious voice spoke again.

Seth felt like he was going to choke from the lack of breath, as if he had just gottten the wind knocked out of him. He kicked at his horse to go into full speed. "Come on guys! We gotta get there fast!

Ace was able to pull up in front of Seth, cutting him off. "no! Wait! That's just what they want. We need to play this smart. Huddle up gang. This is what we're going to do...."

(Hey! That only happened once and because I thought it up at the last minute! XD I DO have a plan for these guys! *evil smile*)

"WWAAHHH!!!"

Cassidy's head shot around and she glared daggers at the masked man who was holding Cale. "LET HER GO!!!" She screamed, struggling in the ropes holding her still.

"Why? I'm not hurting her..." The man smirked as he cradled Cale gently in his arms.

Tech's eyes flared up. "If you do not return her to myself and my wife this second I will disembowel you."

"Such a strong threat. I'd like to see you try to back it up..."

"Alright gang, this is what were gonna do," Ace said, his eyes glinting with determination. Sapphire momentarily felt her breath hitch in her throat. They had to act fast, if not.... Well, she didn't really want to go there.

"We'll use the same trick they used on us, ambush," Lexi said, looking around them just in case.

(*wacks head repeatedly on table* I think this exam is blocking the oxygen flow in my brain DX)

Rev kinda giggled as he looked over at Icy. She gave him a glare like that said "You think this is funny?" It waskinda funny though. And she couldn't have said it outlou. One of the thugs hjad gagged her because she wouldn't shut up even after Rev told her to stop.

"I told ya to cut it out with the insults Icy. But I'm just glad they didn't go beyond the gag." He said smiling. Icy couldn't help but be amazed at the fact that he was so cool about the whole thing, but it made her relaz a little.

And on top of it Rev had gotten Cale to stop crying. The thugs were to busy talking that they didn't notice Rev making faces at the little girl. Cale giggled a little.

Icy looked around for the bag Ozzie was in. It was motionless. He must have passed out or else he would have gotten out of there in a flash, or at the very least would have contacted the others. She sat back and took a deep breath, nudging Cassidy. The Coyote was too upset to notice though.

Suddenly a white blur zipped into the room. "Hola!" Quick waved at the wranglers and they looked at her for a second like she was crazy. Then a couple of them lunged at her, only to fall on each other out of mid air. She then kinda leaned against the door way and waved some more before running back out. Half the wranglers were smart enough to follow her out while the other half stayed with the prisoners.

Duck then teleported into the room, but he didn't have time to pose as he sually did. The minute he came into veiw he took up an extra gloogle gel gun and shot it at the wranglers holding Tech, Rev, Icy, and Cass. The guy with Cale got up and was about to run when I hand came from the window behind him, grabbing cale out of his arms and then giving him a chop on the side of the neck, knocking him out.

Seth poked his head through the window looking down at him surprised and craddling Cale. "Uh, wow. That actually worked. I've seen it in movieds but I didn't really think I could pull that off..."

The wranglers outside took to chasing Quick a few feet away from where Seth had karate chopped the wrangler holding Cale. If only they had looked up, they would have noticed the figures standing above the railing leaning against the wall above them.

Lexi and Sapphire leapt out seemingly out of nowhere to the wranglers and managed to bring them to the ground, hard. Sapphire's hand flared up as a cloak of white seemed to cover the wranglers face and he blacked out.

She stood back and examined her 'handy work' before feeling a sharp pain up her left thigh. She dubbled over and bit her lower lip to ease the pain bafore her attacker stood in front of her, a hint of malice lingering on his features.

Lexi's audible gasp reached her ears before she felt her eyes watering, "You're gonna wish you didn't do that," Sapphire whispered giving Lexi the hint to back off. Giving no time for her attacker to even realized what she was doing, she hit the ground and swung her legs hard against the wrangler knocking him off balance before being hit full force by Quick.

The wrangler who hadn't been expecting Quick's appearence flew through the air before slamming into a tree where he fell limp to the ground.

Feeling the rush of adrenaline suddenly dissapear, the pain came back, causing her to stagger back before dropping to a sitting position. She clutched on to the throbbing pain for dear life, unwilling to look down to see what actual damaged did the wrangler inflict.

She felt a sudden presense beside her, like a gust of wind that knelt to the ground, and above the mixed shouts and general yells of chaos, a loud gasp.

"Oh no."

(*happy jig* THE TEST IS OVER!!! I just HAD to celebrate with putting more drama into this post XD *ducks from Sapphire's spell*)

Cassidy flashed Seth a quick smile, then her eyes flared up bright blue as she used her fire powers to cut through the ropes holding her. She winced, it still hurt to use her powers. Tech was right, that had been a bad back-fire.

Having freed herself, she quickly reached into her pocket and pulled out a small folding pocketknife. With it she cut the ropes around Icy, Tech and Rev, freeing them.

She spun around to see the man who had been holding her daughter slowly returning to his feet, preparing to attack Seth.

"Oh.... I don't think so.."

Cassidy jumped to her feet and literally lunged at the wrangler, tackling him to the ground.

She smirked. "Ever been pinned down by a girl before?"

The man simply replied, "Ever been punched by a guy before?"

Before she could react, a fist came flying at her and hit her square in the cheek, the force sending her tumbling a few feet. Cassidy sat up, her eyes flaring in anger.

Seth smirked. "Dude. You're dead." He chuckled.

The wrangler glared at Seth before kicking out with his leg, tripping Seth. Cale was sent tumbling across the ground several feet, but avoided injury by rolling herself into a little ball.

Phantom, meanwhile, had been standing at he hitching post with Lucky, Domino and Rusty, watching this scene unfold. Seeing little Cale in the middle of the fight, defenceless, the mare began pulling on the rope tying her to the post. Realizing that that wouldn't work, she pulled at the knot with her teeth. Once she got it undone, she trotted up to little Cale.

Cale, oblivious to the danger she was in, giggled at Phantom. "Howsie!"

Phantom reached around and grabbed the little girl by the waist band of her pants, then trotted towards Cassidy.

Cassidy glanced around. She couldn't take Cale now, she was trying to keep the wranglers away from her daughter. "Phantom!" She calle out to the gold and white mare. "Give her to Ben!"

Phantom's ear pricked as she realized what she was being asked to do, and therefore, turned right around, heading for Ben, who was nearby, not really doing much.

Ben took Cale from Phantom. "Good girl Phantom, now out!" Phantom gave him a slight nod, then headed back outside with the other horses.

Cassidy gave this guy one last swift kick in the gut, which landed him nearly unconscious against a wall. She froze, suddenly feeling like something was wrong. She spun around, only to see one of her freinds on the ground, clutching her leg.

"Sapphire!"

Seeing her friends hurt were one thing, the knowledge that you could run up to them and kick their attacker's sorry butt for hurting them made the prospect more, well, slightly more tolerable. Not that anyone would like it though.

But when it comes to herself getting hurt, the tables turn. She felt terrified, for her own ife and for everyone else. The last place anyone wanted to be during a fight was on the ground. It left a sense of vurnerability that scared her stiff.

She glanced down at her thigh from between her fingers and let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. It wasn't as bad as she expected, thank God. From the tip of her right knee all the way across her thigh was a sharp jagged whip like mark.

She bit her lower lip and clenched her fist as the red liquid smeared on her jeans. She looked up when she heard the loud gasp and was met with Cassidy's worried eyes. The coyote was by her side in an instant, "Oh gosh Saph, are you alright?"

Sapphire nodded meekly, unwilling to cry out as Cassidy gently slid a part of her ripped jeans below the cut away to inspect the wound.

(DUMDUMDUM!!! All I could think off XD)

Cassidy paused, feeling Sapph tense up as the girl attempted to hold back her cry. She set her hand on Sapph's arm gently. She said nothing, just gave Sapph a reassuring smile.

When she glanced down at Sapphire's leg, she winced. It looked like it hurt badly. She quickly reached into her backpack and pulled out a package of gauze and surgical tape. After rapidly cleaning the wound, during which time Sapphire spent biting her lip to the point that it began bleeding, as well, she placed strips of the gauze over the wound, and wrapped the tape around Sapph' leg, holding it in place.

This whole operation took about four or so minutes. The gang made a small circle around the two, trying to hold off the wranglers, who seemed to be increasing in number by the minute, while Cassidy helped Sapph.

But their efforts would be in vain....

('Kay. As much as I hate doing this, they all gotta get caught now. XD Be creative! 8D)

"Nobody move!"

The loonatics stopped what they were doing and looked up. A wrangler, different from the rest, was holding Mairi captive with her hands behind her back. This wrangler had a sense of charge around him and he wore a heavy cowboy suit with a large, heavy coat draped around him and a red bandana aroundhis neck.

He plucked a ciggerette from his motuh and tipped his hat at Mairi. "Sorry missy. Nothin personal. Just business, you know how it is.." He then took a pistol from his pocket and held it up to her head.

"BUBBY I DON'T WONNA DIIIIEEEEE!!!!" Mairi wialed as the nile river streamed from her eyes.

"Damn it!" Duck cursed under his breath. "What do you want us to do?!"

"Hands in the air!" The man said with a playful grin. There was no mockery in it and if he wasn't holding a gun to Mairi's head it would have been mistaken as innocent, as if the whole thing was a game.

Ace hesitated a minute but Duck shot him a look and he new they were cornered. Ace nodded shortly at the others and they all slowly put their hands up.

The gunman smirked and nodded at the others, who got to work tying the Loonatic's hands behind their back.

Ace and Tech both gazed at Cassidy and Icy sternly, knowing their tendency to fight stuff like this. Cassidy stood completely still, but couldn't help growling and shooting the men death glares. It didn't help when the guy tying her up pulled to make sure the ropes were snug, sending pain all through her.

(Sorry for the short post, I really shouldnt' be on right now... *shifty eyes* Plus I kinda wanna hold off just slightly until I can post "THE BIG ONE" :3)

Quick sneered at the man who tired her up. "Estúpido feo vaquero." she hissed eyeing daggers at him.He looked at her rather confused, obviously not fluent in the Spanish language, but that didn't stop the girl.

"Con su horrible olor rasgados y barba."

He stopped and stared at her while she talked, looking at her like she was some sort of alien.

"Voy a patearte el trasero más adelante, esperar y ver--"
"What the heck are you sayin' there mousey?"
Quick's eye twitched at the word, "Go to hell!" she whispered aggressively.

the guy turned toward another goon.
"Seems like we'll need another one on this jibberish speaker." he rolled his eyes as the goon threw him a piece of some sort of fabric

"Jibberish! Ay Dios Mio! How dare you! cómo te atreves a llamar a mi lengua jibberish! You slimey son of a--Mmmh mMMg Mhhh! Bmmmhhmmm!!"

And so she was gagged.

Rev shook his head a little....half expecting that, while Tech smirked at what the girl had said.......

Sapphire shot a death glare at the wrangler who was trying to tie her wrists together, he merely smirked in response. "Well, well.... You're a sight for sore eyes aren't you, sweet-heart?" he said tracing her angry features and rested on her newly treated wound.

"Pity, if it weren't for the mutt here, you could have bleed to death by now girly," he said lightly, in a tone like a weather reporter. Sapphire swore under her breath, not wanting to lose her temper at a time like this. She heard Cassidy let out a low growl beside her.

The head wrangler cleared his throat "I don't think its wise to flirt with our captives John," he barked. Sapphire nearly felt like puking at that point, her mind racing with possibilities to get out of that situation. The first thought that came to her mind was to give him a hard kick to his shins with her boots.

She looked up and saw the head wrangler, still with the gun pointed at Mairi's head. She sighed, knowing quite well that none of them could pull of a 'heroic rescue' perfectly.

The wrangler roughly pulled her to her feet while she tried the hardest to place her weight on her other foot to lessen the strain on her injured leg.

She winced as the wrangler tightened the bonds around her wrists, mentally knowing that if this went on longer she would probably have matching scars around her wrists with the one on her thigh.

(Me love Quick's rant XD)

Cassidy's ears pinned flat back against her head as she glared at the wrangler whose name was apparently John. He called her 'mutt.' That was about as bad as calling her 'princess' or even 'dog.'

He smirked at her. "Got something to say, princess?"

Oh, that was it. He was going down.

Her thoughts were cut off by a loud coughing noise that sounded like it came from Ace. Before her mind could return to the wrangler, her muzzle was tied shut.

At this point, they might as well gag all of them.....

Once situated, they were (literally) dragged out into a large corral. Some of the wranglers shoved their captives to the ground, others simply tripped them. Either way, all of the gang was on the ground.

The head wrangler who had Mairi in his grasp dragged her out to the corral, as well. But he simply tied her up and kept her outside of the fencing. After all, she wasn't one of the Loonatic's team, so she was no threat to them. They wanted the team, the real threat to their operation.

Ace glared at them. "Eh.... What's goin' on, doc?"

"You twelve have quickly become a serious thorn in our sides."

"Hey, hear dat, gang? We're doin' our job!" Ace replied scarcastically.

"Shut it, rabbit boy!" The man snapped. "Right now our only objective is to get rid of you...... in a way that will benefit us very much...."

The gang then noticed another wrangler appear. But this one was different. All of the wranglers they had seen were humans..... This one was a roadrunner, as they could easily tell by the large beak on his face.

"You twelve are going to be the guinea pigs for our freind's latest experiment...."

Ace gulped silently. He didn't like the sound of that....

The black-clad roadrunner pushed forward a large cannon-like contraption. He seemed to have a pensive, unsure expression, unlike the other goons, who were smirking all evil-like.

Suddenly, all they could hear was a girl yell. "No! Don't do it, Dad!!!"

Rev blinked. 'Rachelle? What is she doing?!'

(Was gonna end it here, but decided to add on... NOTE: This isn't "THE BIG ONE" yet..... that will probably be my next post)

The brown-haired roadrunner ran up to her supposed father. "Please Dad, don't!"

"Rachelle, please.... do not interfere..." The older roadrunner said firmly.

"You'd better listen to your daddy, sweetheart...." The wrangler named John grabbed her by her arms and pulled her away from her father.

Rachelle struggled, but failed to free herself. She gazed at Rev with sad, longing eyes. 'I'm so sorry, Rev...'

The older roadrunner powered up his machine. He aimed it carefully at the Loonatics before firing. Several howls and screams were heard as a white-ish glow covered all of them, causing each of them to gradually become unconscious. After a few minutes, each of the team lay completely still on the ground.....

The wranglers laughed and chuckled at the fallen heros knowing thier experiment had commensed.

"NOOOOOO! BUBBY!" Mairi screamed from her place outside of the fence.

Rachelle looked on with wide eyes, and they began to tear. Having paused to do this she was violently jerked back by John who continued to lead her away from the scene.

Rachelle shot a angry tearstained look at John, pleading him to let her go. The heartless wrangler smirked wider and roughly hauled her aside not unlike what he just did to one of the team.

Thinking quickly, Rachelle suddenly snapped as the silence finally reached her. "No," she gasped. Without even considering her actions, she swung her elbow hard against John's stomach forcing him to release her.

(This might sound weird, but somehow I find it amusing that 'John' has some use in the last few posts XD)
((*moment of randomness* I was re-reading back this thread before my mom had to forcibly drag me to sleep last night DX and had a dream about it, exactly from the part where Quick enters the barn. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME 8DDDDDD *random moment over*XD))

(Change of plans, my above post is my BIG ONE. I'm really too frustrated at our internet to write more.... DX)

Ace moaned and shook his head as he began to wake up. His head was pounding, his legs and arms hurt like crap, and he felt strangely misproportioned. He tried to stand up, only to wobble before falling back on all fours. Weird, he felt taller.... He looked down at himself.

"WHAT THE HECK??!"

This jolted Tech out of his sleep. "Cheif? Where are you?" He called out, confused.

"Tech, please explain to me why I suddenly have four legs, a mane, and a tail that's not short and fluffy!"

Tech blinked. There was a tall, silver and white stallion standing in fron of him. TALKING.

The horse looked at him, then smirked. "Happened to you too, huh?"

"What?" Tech inspected himself, only to find two front legs where his arms had been, hooves where his hands and feet were supposed to be, and a long, silky-looking tail attached to his rear.

"I'm.... I'm a horse?"

"Looks dat way." Ace sighed.

"It must've been that cannon that Rachelle's father used. It must be some sort of shape-shifting or gene altering device!" Tech thought out loud.

"Let's wake up the others and try and figure out what's going on.." Ace said.

Tech nodded and turned around. Behind him lay a mahogany-coloured mare, fast asleep. He nudged her gently. "Cass.. wake up.."

Her eyes flickered open." Huh?" She stared at the dark chestnut stallion standing next to her. "You.. you talk?"

"You bet I do. I also fetch, sit, roll over, and play dead!"

Cassidy just blinked again. "Tech? What.... how... why are you a horse?!"

"We all are. My guess is that is was the cannon Rachelle's father brought out."

Cassidy nodded as she looked at herself. "I see..."

Tech helped Cassidy to her feet, but her legs only wobbled dangerously, threatening to collapse and drop Cassidy to the ground. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah.... I just... don't feel that great..." She admitted. "My head feels like it's gonna explode and I can't tell if I can feel my legs right now..."

Tech used his large body to steady Cassidy as she tried to regain her balance. Cassidy's horse body was small and delicate-looking, but her haunches were slightly larger and muscular (in other words, her butt is big, XD). Her mane and tail were the same colour, a bright red, which seemed slightly odd against her dark mahogany coat.

The two slowly made their way towards a white and black coloured mare. "Icy! Wake up!"

Icy's eyes flickered open and she yawned as she rolled over. "Five more hours..." Cassidy rolled her eyes and whinnied in her friend's ear. Icy shot up on all fours. "I'm awake!" She stared at the three a moment. "Uh....hi."

"Hi." Tech replied.

Icy tripped backwards. "AAAGH!!! Talking horse!"

"Whic is creepier then the talking ferret how?" Ace asked with his eyebrow raised.

Cassidy shook her head. "Icy! Look yourself over!"

She looked down to see her black and white spotted horse body. She screamed even louder this time, waking up the rest of the gang.

There was a series of screams, confused gasps, and "What the hecks" as the loonatics woke and looked themselves over. Rev was looking down at himself with his knees turned inward. "Gyaah! What in the name of roadrunners?!"

Duck blue his long shaggy bangs out of his face as he freaked out over his appearance. "How did I get so FAT?!"

"Hey!"

Duck looked up at Slam from his shetland pony point of view. Slam was a giant Clydsdale and from where he was on the ground he looked like a mountain.

"...meep."

Sapphire forced herself to ignore the pounding pain in her head. Everything felt strange, her hair felt shorter, and her neck longer. Her ears pricked up at the obvious sound of the argument and confusion. Wait.... PRICKED??

Her eyes shot open and for a second she blinked... blink.... and blinked again, staring at the group of horses around her, TALKING??! Her quiet whine cause everyone to look down at her, "Ermm, horsies? Please tell me I'm in a bizarre dream and I'm going to wake up any second now...."

Sapphire shook her mane of black hair- correction- HER MANE back and clambered to a standing position. Sadly, being a clutz on 2 legs doesn't help much when she now has 4 legs when she stumbled back to a sitting position which she admit would look pretty comical if they were not in the current perdicament.

Tech shook his head and helped her up. She balanced herself on her back legs before falling down lightly on all fours.

She looked around at the 'horse' that had just spoken, "Cass? That's you right?" She nodded, well, more like a jerk of the head actually.

Her leg? "Ermm, it stings a little. But I'll live," she attempted a shrug and looked down at her hooves. What type of horse is she anyway?

Seth and Quick looked each otehr over.

"DIOS MIO!!!"

"What the hell!?"

Rev flipped. "What happed toi us?!"

Icy snorted as she stomped her front hooves. "It's a little obviouse your girlfriend's Papi turned us into horses!"

Rev did an equal frustrated move and stomped up till they were head to head. Icy was still shorter. "Well sor-ry princess! And what do you mean Girlfriend?!"

"You heard me!"

"I really don't think I did!"

"Apperently!!!"

"GUYS!!!!" Cassidy shouted and they all stopped and looked toward her. She whinnied, stomping her feet nervously. "Cale! Where's Cale?"

"And the wranglers for dat matter..." Ace observed.

"The were all by themselves, the only traces left were the wrangler's footprints in the reddish sand. Cassidy and Tech ran into the shack and looked around. They let out a sigh of releif when they saw the little girl curled up asleep on some sacks of oats for the horse feed. Cassidy nudged her with her nose and Cale looked up. "Howsie!"

"Oh dear..." Cassidy sighed slightly frustrated.

Duck's ears pricked up as he heard a wailing from behind the shack. He rolled his eyes and went to go untie Mairi. When hje rounded the corner she was just sitting their with her hands tied behind her sobbing. Duck tried to speack to her but it came out as a neigh. Mairi looked up and had the quickest mood switch imaginable and squealed. "EEEEK!!! CUTIE!!!"

"Well duh!" Duck guipped, though it still came out as another whinny and he went to chew the rope from her hands.

Icy poked her head into the shack and looked around. There was some squirming and muffled shouts from inside the bag and she went to undo the not that tied it. It came loose and the bag fell around Ozzie. "Whew! I thought I'd never get out of there! Thiose good for nothing robbers stealing MY stone! I worked so hard for that thing!" He looked up at Icy and smiled. "Thanks Domino!"

"Domino? Pfft! This is Icy!"

Ozzioe stared at her a moment and jumped back with a gasp. "GAH!!! Icy?!"

"You can understand me?" Icy asked equally surprised.

"Well duh! I am part animal. What happened?!"

"The bad guys turned us into horses!" Icy exclaimed.

Ozzie just kinda stared a moment and then snickered a little behind his paw. Icy glared. "What's so funny?!"

Ozzie just laughed some more. "Pfft! Not so fun is it?"

(*Random fact of the day* Sapphire tends to ermm... ramble, when she's panicking as demonstrated in this post XD)

Sapphire walked up to where Cassidy was leaning over Cale and nuzzled the little girl playfully. Cale's eyes widened at the sight of all of them, "Owh, howsie all pwetty," she giggled.

Sapphire looked around, most of them were turning around and examining themselves while Duck had dissapeared, probably looking for Mairi. Once the initial shock wore off, she suddenly snapped out of her state when she realized something. Something that made her lose her rational thinking all over again.

"Guys-where's-Ben? And-Mr-and-Mrs-Boswell? Oh-gosh-don't-tell-me-the-wranglers-took-them!! Nonononono-what-those-goons-hurt-them? And-Ben-was-so-sweet-to-us-and-he-was-cute-too. What-if-were-stuck-like-this-forever-what-if-we-can't-change-back? What-if-we-end-up-running-around-the-forest-and-not-finding-our-way-back?? This-is-bad-bad-BAD!!!!" she said everything in one breath nearly hysterically to no one in particular.

And so she had a panic attack.

......

But that didn't mean she wasn't loud......

'Can't you learn to keep quiet in a situation like this love?' said a voice in her head.

Cassidy knew Sapphire was right. They had to find Ben and the Boswells, they were their best bet at turning back into themselves. But how? They wouldn't be able to understand them....

"Ozzie!" She gasped.

"Yesssss?" The ferret replied.

"You can understand us!"

"............. Where were you five seconds ago?"

"No, you can understand us, and people can understand you!" Cassidy pointed out. "You can find Ben and the Boswells and lead them to us!"

"True. In our current state, our ability to search for them ourselves is very limited." Tech agreed.

"And Mairi can watch Cale!"

Ozzie raised his paw to his forehead. "I'm on it!"

Ozzie quickly scampered away, sniffing and investigating everywhere he could. Just as he was out of range, Lexi's ears pricked backwards. "Guys..... I hear something...."

"What is it, Lex?" Ace asked.

"I can't tell.... it sounds like... hoofbeats?"

"Well, that would be kinda normal, considering we are on a ranch!" Duck scoffed.

"Let's get outside and look around, gang." Ace ordered.

Once outside, they investigated anything they could, searching around the stables and in the bushes.

Duck pushed his fuzzy black muzzle through a bunch of bush branches, which were about his height. He sniffed. There was something strange here, so he kept investigating, until....

"GAH!!!"

The gang each spun around, trying to find who shouted.

Duck was on his back feet, trying to rid his front leg of a thick lasso. On the other end of the rope was one of the wranglers.

Before even Ace could shout any instructions, they were surrounded........

The group was surrounded by twice the number of wranglers than before. Some holding more lassos and a few others were holding the same type of old fashion gun that Tech had shown them earlier.

Eves as they watched more lassos flew through the air and slipped around their necks while the wranglers tugged on the rope to bring them down. Sapphire backed up, trying her hardest to escape from the lasso flying towards her.

'Don't panic, don't panic, don't panic' she repeated the mantra over and over again in her head.

The fact that Duck was shouting "Were doomed! DOOMED!! Gonners!!" above the noise didn't help much either.

Icy felt something around her neck tighten and she turned around. a cople of wranglers had her but instead of fighting against the rope she ran toward them. The wranglers tried to get out of the way but she reared back and tried to stomp them. One of the guys was too close and took a bite in the arm.

Icy felt another rope tighten around her, pulling her in the oposit direction. Damn!

"Ricy!" (not the pairing btw) Slam stomped in bigger then life and ran straght into the ropes, yanking them from the wrangler's hands. Slam and Icy backed up as the others tried to avoid the wranglers.

"Thanks Slam!" Icy said out of breath. "Uh, Duck! Can you get him out of there?"

Slam grinned. Oh this was gonna be fun. He CHARGED toward the wranglers and his intimidating size scared them into running the other way. He chased them around a bit whle Duck shook off the ropes and slinked of to gide with the others behind a series of boulders. Slam realized that everyone had gotten to safety and circled around the barn.

When the wranglers got their wits about them (or what little of it they had in the first place) and went to look for him. Slam had circled the barn and then when the wranglers got closer he ran over to the rock formation where the rest were hiding.

The others cheered as he came up. "Whoo! Go Slam!"

(I really didn't know what to right so sorry if this didn't make naga sense. 0_o)

Tech nuzzled Cassidy's neck. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I am, Mr. Paranoia." Cassidy replied saucily.

Tech tossed his head, rolling his eyes.

Ace searched their surroundings. "Okay gang, listen up. I don't think the wranglers have really left. After how far they've gone in their plans I doubt they're gonna back out now. Now, when I say 'go' you guys run as fast as you can. Head for the forests, stick together, and don't turn back no matter what."

Cassidy opened her mouth.

"No. Matter. What." Ace repeated, glancing at Cassidy, who shut her mouth with a grumpy look.

Lexi studied Ace in wonder and worry. She knew he had a plan, but could it possibly involve letting himself get caught?

Ace rolled his eyes and then peacked around the rocks. He saw the wranglers searching around. It was starting to get dark out and the sun glared in there eyes so it would be easier for the horses to escape.

Ace pawed the ground and then ran out in the oposit direction of the trees. The wranglers saw him and tried to rush him.

"GO!"

The others just looked at eachother.

"I said GO!!!"

They took off at once toward the trees, looking over there shoulders to see what would happen. Stopping within the protection of the woods they looked out at their team leader. Ace was surrounded.

Icy snorted and pawed the ground. "Alright! Lemme at em!" She was about to storm off when Slam bit ahold of her tail and kept her back. "Wuicky!"

Rev looked around. "Quick? Hey! She was here just a minute ago."

They looked out and saw Quick running circles around the wrabnglers. "YOOHOO! Venir y me muchachos!"

"Quick!" Ace yelled.

"What was that? Go quicker? Okay!" She ran some more and was so at a surprising speed. Maybe they had kept bits and peices of their abilities. Ace rolled his eyes and rano out of the circle. Quick was beside him in a second and the wranglers quickly got on their horses to chase after them. When the two entered the forest Ace blurted out his instructions without stopping.

"Go! Go! Don't stop until your out of site! Split up and we'll meet back here in two hours! Hurry!"

The Loonatics didn't waste any time and took off, each going a seperate direction.

Meanwhile Ozzie was scampering amung the sand. He looked behind him to see if anyone was following when he ran face first into something. Looking up slightly dazed he saw it was somone's leg.

"Fuzzy!"

"Oh no, not that name again..." He saw Cale riding atop Mairi's shoulders. The Lyre bird looked down and gasped. "Ozzie?! What happened?"

Ozzie waved his pawxs in the air. "No time to explain! We need to find Ben and the Boswells! Help me look for em! Come on!" He tried running but Mairi was able to catch up with him in three steps and just picked him up.

She plcaed him on her head wher Cale gladly took over with hjolding him. "Um, maybe you'd better just sit tight for a bit. I have way longer legs and will get around easier."

"Well that would be a nice break if I didn't have trouble catching my breath up here." Ozzie replied groggily as Cale squeazed him.

Ace then quickly turned around, standing on his haunches, ready to fight.

Lexi turned her head to see several of the wranglers still in pursuit of them. "Guys! We'll split up ito groups! We'll be harder to catch that way! Tech, take Cass, Ice, and Rev with you! Seth, take Duck, Sapphire and Quick! The rest are with me!"

Each of them nodded and broke off, heading in different directions. Rev took the lead of their group, using his GPS to guide them. Icy kept right on his tail with Cass not too far behind and Tech bringing up the rear, making sure the girls wouldn't get hurt or caught.

They ran quickly through the forests, flying over tree trunks and ducking under low branches.

Rev suddenly gave out a sharp whinny and slammed on the brakes, nearly causing a four-horse pile-up.

Icy snorted. "What the heck was that for?!"

"It was for THAT." He explained, gesturing to the steep, deep ravine whose edge he was two inches from.

Cassidy staggered back to her feet, having gotten a slightly dazed Tech off of her. Her ear flicked backwards. "They're gaining on us! We have to keep going!"

MEAnHWHILE:

Cale snuggled Ozzie tightly. "Moma a Daddy?" She asked, missing her parents.

Ozzie looked up to see little tears in her eyes. "Aww... Don't you worry, Cale. They'll be back soon." He reached up and gently wiped the tears from the little girl's face. "But right now you have to help us find Mr. and Mrs. Boswell."

Cale suddenly smiled. "Pony..... neigh!" She pointed to one of the stalls in the barn.

Ozzie chuckled. "Yes... ponies say neigh....."

Cale kept pointing. "Pony! Pony! Pony! Pony!"

Icy cackled with a devil may care look on her face. Tech looked at her, down at the ravine, and then at her again. "Oh no! Don't you even--"

"YEEEHHHAAA!!!!" Icy jumped of the side and began to rapidly slide down the side with her hooves digging up the sand and causing a tan cloud of dust to billow up behind her. She wasn't even moving her legs, just kinda sliding down.

Rev shrugged and went after her, and to Tech's horror he was followed by Cassidy. "Whoa! Hey! This is--" The wranglers were heard from behind and Tech turned to see them inbetween the trees. "--not the best idea ever but what the neigh." He jumped and began to slide down, screaming his head off the entire way down. "WOOOAAAAAAHHHHOOOOHHHOOOOO!!!!!!"

He met the other three at the bottom sitting on his haunches, his eyes wide and his mane and tail frizzed up.

"Hi. Glad you could join us." Rev snickered.

The heard voices and looked up to see the wranglers debating wether to go down or not. Tech stood as he shook his head of the sand. "Alright, no time to stand around. I say we follow this ravine until we find a side that isn't so steep. Then we'll climb up and hopefully meet the others at the ranch in time.

"You see, that's why he's the genious and not us." Icy said sarcastically.

Cassidy giggled at Tech's now wild hairdo, who gave her a teasing look in return. Rev then took off in the lead again, with Icy and Cassidy close behind, and Tech behind them.

MEANWHILE:

Cale kept pointing at the stall, crying "Pony! Pony! Pony! Pony!"

Mairi shrugged. "I guess she really wants to see the pony..." So, she walked towards the stall. However, upon reaching the door, they noticed that there was no pony in there.

"Mr. and Mrs. Boswell! And Ben!" Ozzie gasped.

Ozzie jumped down and inspected the uncocniouse trio. He patted Ben's cheek as he yelled. "Good morning! Nap times over!"

Mairi put Cale down and the toddler wandered away to play in a hay stack while the other two tried to wake them up. Mairi shook Mrs. Boswell. "Oh wake up! I'm sooo freakin out! What if they're dead?!" D8

"They're not dead, just unconciouse." Ozzie explained.

Tech kept glancing behind and above them. The wranglers were still on their tails. They had to keep going.

After several minutes, Rev called out, "Hey! There's a not-so-steep side!"

Tech nodded, also seeing it. "Let's go!"

One by one, the four clambered up the side of the ravine, in fact, the other side, opposite of the wranglers. Tech smirked before pushing them on. They had to lose those guys, fast.

Several more minutes passed as they ran through the forest, keeping the ravine within sight. Soon, they came across a small lake.

Tech stopped. "Let's rest here for a minute."

Cassidy nodded as she stopped. She was panting from running so far so fast. Icy must be melting, because she knew she felt hot.

*Meanwhile in some undisclosed location since I don't think even they know where they are anyway*

The 4 'horses' galloped through the thick undergrowth at a quite impressive speed considering they couldn't see what was in front of them due to the thick vegitation. But they knew they were not alone, even through the call of animals scampering out of their way and their thundering hooves, the sound of approaching danger lurked behind them.

Blood pumping in her ears, Sapphire almost couldn't think straight. Out of all the bizzare things that she had ever gone through never had she imagined in a million years she would be in the current situation.

However Seth's continuos warnings and determination to keep moving made this all real. They were in danger, they had to keep going and to not look back. She pressed more effort onto her muscles and managed to come riding up in front of Duck.

But heck were they all exhausted, they'd be moving for who knows how long, and hadn't had a drop of water or a bite to eat for quite some time. Seth glanced sideways at his team, eyebrows furrowed, he knew it too. They had to stop to catch their breaths or risk collapsing anytime soon, which in the current perdicament, is like sealing a deal with disaster.

Icy just out of nowhere started jumping aorund and screamining like crazy. Cassidy looked up. "What?! What's wrong?!"

Icy laughed. "Nothing! That's just it! I don't feel hot at all! I don't feel queezy, or dizzy, or ready to turn into a puddle! I can run around in the sun until I'm red in the face and not have any issues except being short of breath! WHOOO!!!!"
