Icy narrowed her eyes at Rev, and then with a smirk plnged bother her front hooves in the water, soaking hi whole head.

"YIKES! That's cold!" Rev jumped back shaking the water from his head.

Icy turned her attention away from him to look down at the water. "...I can't beleive we just drank from a lake. We're like wild....animals!"

"As apposed to the animal you were before." Tech answered dryly.

"Yeah that's funny but even the crazier of us were....well...."

"Domesticated?" Tech answered for her.

Icy shook her head though. "Ugh, that is such a terrible word for igt. It makes me feel like someone's pet."

Cassidy's ears pricked. They were being watched, she knew it.

Tech followed her gaze silently. He picked up on her tension. He knew what she was thinking.

After a few moments, Cassidy spoke. "Guys...... I think-"

Just as the words left her mouth, from the bushes burst five or six wild dogs, growling and showing off their sharp teeth....

And they looked hungry......

The four froze, unsure of what to do. The dogs growled and moved closer, waiting for the perfect moment.

Tech pinned his ears back. "Icy, Rev, Cass, back away slowly."

Cassidy, Icy and Rev glanced at each other, then at Tech's stern 'do as I say or else' expression, then slowly inched backwards.

Cassidy's dark brown eyes were sharply locked on one certain dog, who was eyeing Tech menacingly. By the looks of his size and scars above his eye, he seemed to be the leader. She pinned her ears back. 'Touch him and prepare for a world of hurt, puppy!'

The dog stole a glance at her, but returned his attention to Tech, thinking her not a threat.

Boy, is he wrong.

With a sharp growl, the dog lunged forward at Tech. Tech quickly jumped up on to his hind feet, striking out with his front hooves. One hoof came into contact with the dog's shoulder, knocking hom back down, but the animal was not discouraged. He quickly returned to his feet and lunged again. This time, Tech's hooves did little to protect him, and the dog's sharp teeth dug into his leg painfully.

At that same moment, something inside Cassidy seemed to snap.

Oh yeah. That's right.

That dog was goin' down.

(Seren: Don't worry! I won't! But they might want some Tylenol afterwards... XD)

(Style: Well, It'll be kinda hard to fit in another OC at this point in the story, but you can roleplay for the Tics if you want)

Cassidy suddenly lunged forward, ears pinned flat against her head. Her teeth sank into the dog's neck, causing him to yelp and let go of Tech. Tech quickly jumped out of the way.

The dog spun around and prepared to lunge at Cass. Cassidy reacted by charging straight at him, however, she made sure none of her hooves really touched the dog. She didn't want to hurt it, just scare it off.

Icy and Rev ran at the same time at the other dogs so fast that they tripped over their own paws and prepared for themselves to run. They finally had it when Cassidy came up and snorted at them like a bull, kicking up dirt with her fronjt hoof. The dogs yelped and ran the other way.

Icy called after them. "MUTTS!"

"Ahem." Tech huffed.

Icy just smiled at him. "Don't worry Tech! You're a mutt too!"

Cassidy spun around quickly, so wound up she was gonna snap at Icy for her comment, but stopped suddenly. "TECH!"

Her eyes were fixed on Tech's leg, where the dog had grabbed him.

Tech winced as he attempted to shift his weight on to his other three legs. "I know, Cass..." He said calmly. "It's not as bad as it looks."

His leg had deep teeth marks and gashes that were now starting to bleed a little.

(Me: *faints from imaging Tech's leg* O.O)

Icy huffed at the sky. "Can this day get any worse?!"

Fom the distance they suddenly heard the sound of running hooves. The four tensed up.

Rev side glared her. "You had to say it, didn't ya?"

But as they were about to take off a familiar grey head poked out of the bushes. "What's up doc?"

After him was a tiny black head. "Whew! A man! I thought it was tough to run before but look at my stubby legs! And I've put on more pounds then Slam in a deep fried Twinkie eating contest!

Ace smirked down at the shetland. "Eh, I'd say it was an improvement."

Tech's ear pinned back in annoyance. "Cass! Stop that, it hurts!"

Cassidy was using her nose to splash water over Tech's wound. She lifted her head up and snorted. "How else do you expect me to clean it out?! If I don't do this then it's gonna get infected. Now hold still!"

Tech rolled his eyes and snorted back. "You're starting to sound like a mother."

And for that, Cassidy nipped him sharply on the shoulder.

Sapphire walked passed them to take a quick drink of water. Looking up again, she eyed Tech's leg before shaking her mane away from her face.

"Best listen to Cass, Tech. She did wonders for my leg," she looked down at her back legs. Slung across the lower part was a piece of gauze tape, fortunately still wrapped tightly around her wound.

"Guys.... I think we should get going." Lexi said, her voice thick with worry. "I can hear more hoofbeats.. and they're getting louder."

Ace nodded. "Let's jet, gang!" Rev and Ace took off in the lead, with the others close behind.

Tech ran at a fast trot, unable to go much faster. The others paused and exchanged worried looks. How could they outrun the wranglers now?

"Go without me." Tech said firmly "I'll be fine."

Cassidy immediatly turned around, walked back to Tech, and stood at his side.

"Cass... go with the others." He ordered.

"Like heck I'm gonna leave you to deal with those goons alone!" Cass returned defiantly.

Tech sighed, knowing he couldn't change her mind.

Sapphire looked around in panic. The wranglers were still hot on their heels, and at this rate were going to catch up soon.

She ran forwards and without thinking, concentrated, relying 100% on pure instict as she levitated Tech a good 2 feet off the ground.

"Good enough for 'ya?" she panted, looking at the surprised Tech.

Tech smiled. "Thanks Sapphire." But they all knew that, even though Sapph was strong, she couldn't hold him up forever. Being trapped in horses' bodies, their powers were pretty weak, if they could be used at all.

The gang quickly continued moving. They hadn't seen any sign of the wranglers yet, but they, especially Lexi, could hear them. The sounds of multiple pairs of hooves striking the ground and kicking up dust.

"Guys! Look up ahead!" Rev shouted.

All at once they saw the rugged outline of a mountain cave. If only they could outrun the wranglers, they could hide there for a while, to fix up Tech's leg. So, they all kicked it into high gear, trying desperately to lose the bad guys on their tails.

Just as they thought they were home-free....

The thunder of hooves and the crash of something large bursting through the bushes in front of them brought Ace, and the others to a shakey halt...

They were surrounded once again....

As the group was surrounded AGAIN, Sapphire's concentration broke, making Tech fall on all fours to the ground again. She struggled to stand up straight, but the intake of energy she had just used must have weaken her.

Truth be told, she was having trouble trying to keep on her feet at this point. Not a good sign for the team.

One of the wranglers, who was riding a tall dark bay stallion spoke up. "Alright. We know who we are and we know that you can understand us, now listen up!"

Ace's ears went back.

"Before you consider doing one of your heroic disappearing acts, we'd just like to tell you that we have some prisoners back at the ranch.... Let's see... there's the old couple, and that young guy.... and that cute little coyote girl.. and the spazzy bird lady.. and that rat."

Cassidy glanced at Ace.

Ace glared at the wrangler. "He's bluffing, gang, hold your ground."

the man pulled out a radio from his pocket. "Now, if any of you make any moves that we don't approve of.... I can call my team back at the ranch and order them to dispose of any one of your freinds.... And I think I'll start with the little girl." He smirked evily.

"Ace..." Cassidy whispered.

Ace kept silent, his eyes locked on the wrangler.

"Ace, please.... He's telling the truth... He has Cale.. And Mazz, and Ozzie, and Ben and the Boswells... We can't risk it."

"Cass is right, Ace." Lexi added. "Even if he is lying, we can't tell otherwise..."

There was a long, tense silence. Several minutes passed by until Ace finally tore his eyes away from the wrangler. "Stand down, Loonatics..."

Sapphire didn't need telling twice. It took all of her will power just to avoid her knees from giving way.

But through her current condition, she can't help but glare daggers at the wranglers. If they touch any of them, IF they lay a hand on ANYONE, they were going down if she gets her powers back.......

The wranglers quickly made a tight circle around the Loonatics, shoving them close together. Tech stumbled and almost fell. Cassidy tried to keep him standing by leaning against him in the opposite direction he was falling. Tech got himself back on all fours. Cassidy bent her head down and inspected Tech's leg. It was already beginning to heal. Tech must still have some of his regeneration powers.

Tech gave her a lop-sided smile. "I can walk on my own, y'know."

Cassidy returned his smile. "Just trying to help."

Once they were all situated, the wranglers pushed them out of the forest and into the meadow. The goons kept them going at a fast trot, or canter for Cassidy, Icy, Quick, and Duck, whose legs were a lot shorter.

Eventually they came up to several more wranglers, who were holding another small herd of horses.

Ace glanced at his team. "We don't know what's happened to Mazz, Ben, the Boswells, Cale, and Ozzie.." He cast a glance at Icy. "So we should search this herd just incase if these goons used that cannon-thingy on them."

Ace didn't need to tell Cassidy twice. The thought of possibly losing her close freind was hard enough, let alone adding Cale to the insanity. She pushed through the crowd of horses, followed by Tech, calling out Cale and Mairi's names..

"Ehh. Dont think so." said a voice. The wranglers turned to see a short girl dressed in a blue shirt and shorts leaning against a tree. And besdie her wwas Mazz, Ban, The Boswells, Cale, Ozzie. And A girl wearing a black tank top over a pink one and with peircings and black and blue hair.

"Give. Up." spoke the girl with the piercings evily. Emili smirked and unleashed her magic at them.

Sapphire reared her head back up, glaring at the wrangler trying to touch her mane. "Woah girl! Gonna take my eye out sooner or later," he mumbled under his breath.

Grinning slyly he slipped his hand into his pants and brought out a coil of rope before trying to slip it through her neck. However, a second later a set of teeth clamped itself tightly over the wranglers upper arm.

He howled in pain before looking up and found Lexi glaring at him, her message simple, 'Don't even think about it.'

The head wrangler glared at Sapphire, smirking evily. "Just remember about that little girl. It would be a shame that I'd have to get rid of her just because you can't behave..."

So, the wranglers pushed the two herds forward. Ace glanced at the team. "Stick together guys... we don't want anyone getting separated..."

Cassidy kept close to Tech's side, guarding his injured leg. It was slowly healing, but wasn't completely healed yet. She suddenly felt a little nudge on her hindquarters. She glanced behind herself to see a young, dark brown foal trying to keep up. "Hello.." She called out.

The foal jumped forward to stand face to dace to Cassidy. "Excuse me, but have you seen my mommy? She's the same colour as you, but she has silver eyes." The little one inquired.

"I'm sorry, but I haven't... "

"Those people took her away. I have to find her!"

"Hey, now, don't worry.... Y'know what? I'll help you find her..."

"Really?"

"Really... so what's your name?"

"My name is Dreamer. My mom is Silver Eyes." He nodded. "What's your name?"

"Cassidy. And this is Tech" She said, gesturing to Tech, who had been watching the conversation in curiousity.

"Are you really gonna help me find my mommy?" He asked, slight fear in his eyes.

Sapphire's ears went flat and dropped her head, its not worth anyone getting hurt JUST because of her. The wrangler smirked in satisfaction seeing his jab had hit a sore spot and growled suddenly.

"Whats going on back there?? Keep moving!" he yelled, seeing that Cassidy and Tech had stopped while talking to the foal.

Cassidy glanced up, hearing the wrangler's shout. "Stick with us, Dreamer.... we'll help you find your mommy..." She assured the colt before following Tech back to the others, with Dreamer on her tail.

The wranglers continued to push the two herds together and forward, heading for the forest on the other side of the large meadow. Within seconds, they were pushed into a canter. Cassidy kept at the back of the pack, making sure Dreamer could keep up. The little colt was just as fast as the other horses, but she knew his strength wouldn't last.

Icy examined the goal closely and then turned to Tech. "We can understand him."

Tec nodded. "An excellent observasion my dear Icy. Would you like a glass of onvious with that?"

Icy shook her head frusterated. "Nononono! I mean we can understand other horses then ourselves."

"So."

"Sooooooo we can talk to the WRANGLER'S horses! If we had someone sneack into one of their camps then we could figure out where they're keeping int the other horses!"

"That's a good idea... but I don't know if it will work.." A voice said.

Tech and Icy glanced sideways to see one of the wranglers' horses next to them, his head low, his eyes locked on them.

"Everytime the wranglers head for the camp, they go a different way. All I can say is that it's somewhere north of here... slightly in the direction we're going." The bay gelding paused. "But I do know what they're doing with the wild horses..."

Tech nodded. "Please go on. It will help us a lot."

"They're building a railroad through the forests, hoping to go through that ranch at the south end. They plan on using the horses to pull the engine up one of the mountains and some other jobs like that, then using the railroad to transport them to auctions nearby the city."

Cassidy glanced at Tech. "They're using the horses for that work so when they get to the auctions, they'll seem tame and well-trained, therefore attracting more buyers."

"And the more buyers, the higher the price." Tech added.

Dreamer glanced from Cassidy to Tech, then to Icy, then to the bay gelding beside them. He was very unsure of the situation. All he knew is that he wanted his mother.

The wranglers kept pushing the herd harder and harder. They eventually reached the top of a steep escaprment, the flat top being wide enough for two horses to walk side by side with a few feet of room inbetween. Tech walked on the outside part of the trail, with Dreamer inbetween himself and Cassidy.

Farther up the group was Seth and Quick. Seth too, walked on the outside of the path, keeping Quick safe against the cliff wall. However, Seth had his ears pinned back as he glared at a young stallion from the other herd, who was crowding Quick from behind. He swore to himself that if that guy got one inch closer to her, he was gonna snap....

Icy turned to the wrangler horse who had adressed them. "What's your name?"

"Cloud." He answered. "Um...it was the name my former rider gave me. I was ctually satolen a couple years back."

Icy nodded. "Okay Cloud, thanks. We'll keep you guys posted on whats goign on. We're under cover."

He just looked at her puzzled. "Under...cover?"

Icy smirked. "Yeah, we're super bad super heros! We're just pretending to be horses until we can get all these ones free. If you say the wranglers stole you guys too then we could probably arange for you to ge new homes."

The grey horse picked his head up. "Really?"

"Absolutely! Heheheh!" Ic grinned but Tech snorted at her and spoke to her at the side.

"What are you doing? We can't promise that."

But Cloud had already gotten excited. "Great! I'll tell the others. I dont really know what super bad super hero is but I think I like them."But before he could finish his rider prodded him to go forward a little but as he did Cloud turne to another horse and spoke in its ear.

Tech glared at Icy. Icy smiled back sheepishly.

(Cloud is the name of an Irish horse in my book btw ^^)

Cassidy only heard bits and peices of the conversation, her attention was focused on Dreamer, who, after several hours of travel, was beginning to get tired. The little colt yawned. "When can we rest?"

"I'm not sure, just keep moving..." Cassidy whispered encouragingly.

Suddenly, the line of horses stopped and squeals could be heard. The gang recognized Seth's voice as he shouted. "I told you to back off Buster! Now you're gonna get it!"

Then there was a loud crack.

Peices of the hard rock under Seth and Quick began to fall away. The two quickly scrambled to a more solid area, followed by the other horses. Tech, Cass, and Dreamer were at the end of the group, and when they reached the spot, it was nothing but a small trail barely wide enough for a full sized horse to fit through.

"Cass, you and Dreamer go first." Tech said, nudging her forwards.

Cassidy nodded and lowered her head to guide Dreamer across the path. It creaked and cracked dangerously, and the young colt froze, terrified. Cassidy nudged him firmly on his hindquarters. "Dreamer, we need to keep moving..." The colt took several hesitant steps before finally reaching the solid ground. Cassidy followed him, cool and calm.

Tech went to step on to the path, but it only cracked and more chunks of the rock fell away. Tech decided it was too dangerous to cross, collected himself, and lept over the broken path...

"Duck is probably tiny enough to fit through." Icy cracked.

"Hey!"

"Guys, heads together and lets try to get around this thing...." Ace followed after Tech and Slam behind him. Icy made a running leap and cleared it and all the others after her but when Duck tried to cross it was actually a problem. His short little legs could barely leave the ground.

"This is just great." He huffed.

Ace called over. "You knwo, maybe Icy's right. Try fitting through that other path Duck! We'll met you on the other side."

"Alone?! They're could be...bears!" He wined as he fidgeted a little.

Quick jumped back over to Duck with a little effort. "I'll go with him! I think I may b able to squeeze through."

"Alright then!" Ace called. "But you two be careful!"

With some effort, Duck and Quick made it across with little difficulty, and the herd was pressed back together, headed for a nearby dense forest.

Night was beginning to fall, and the wild horses, and the Loonatics, were starting to get tired.

Slam looked back to see Cassidy trying to encourage little Dreamer, who was having trouble standing at this point. He paused and waited for them to catch up. "Grabulah me take him." He smiled.

Cassidy smiled back. "Thanks Slam. He's really wiped."

Slam nodded and kneeled down so Dreamer could scramble up on to his broad back. Making sure the foal was steady, Slam continued to walk alongside Tech and Cassidy.

Icy looked bahind her at her at Rev. He was trotting! Rev took the whole thing as a game!....Well why couldn't she?

"Hey Rev!"

He looked up at her. "Yes?"

Icy then reared back on her hind legs and spun three times. Rev laughed as she stuck her tongue out at her. He shook his head as he watched her strut away pleased. She took the whole thing as a game.

Cassidy sighed and rolled her eyes at the pair. She wanted to join them, but she was already exhausted, and her motherly instincts told her to stay where she was, with Dreamer and Tech.

Several minutes later, they entered a clearing. There was a large building, surrounded by train engines, with a long railway stretching from the building to a steep, tall mountain.

Before the gang had enough time to inspect their surroundings, they were herded into a large pen. There was thin, brown-green grass struggling to grow in the abused, pounded in ground and several large water pails along the fenceline.

Upon being shoved into the pens, Slam let Dreamer down on to the ground. Cassidy nudged the colt. "Hey, we're here."

"Wherever here is..." Tech added, keeping a sharp lookout for any danger.

"I'm thirsty.." Dreamer whispered, wobbling a bit from drowsiness.

Tech insisted on being first to test the water. "You can't be too careful. They could have laced it with some sort of depressant or even poison.."

Icy blocked him. "Oh no you don't! Let Rev."

Tech stared at her surprised. "Huh? You want to get rid of him that quickly? I mean seriously Icy, I-"

Icy flicked her tail into his mouth before he could continue. "You idiot that's not what I meant. Rev has a higher immune system then the rest of us. If it does have something in it his body will allow him to get over it quickly Your healing only works with physical injuries. Jeez Tech, did you leave your brain in your other body?"

Tech blinked. "Er...I'm jsut...tired I guess." He said lamely.

Rev snorted wich would have count for a hidden chuckle and gladly tried the water. They waited anxiously as Rev stood up strait. He paused. "...Hm..I don't think there's..OH GOD! *gag* It burns! Oh! I feel myself going into a dark tunnel! Where's the light!? Oh mother help me! Will I never taste your sweet seed buns again?! Goodbye Icy my love! If you run with another horse after my time I just want to say...I'll probably haunt you." With that he dropped to the ground in a comical fit.

Cassidy snorted and rolled her eyes. "Rev! You're a dork!" She scolded him, but she couldn't help laughing.

Suddenly, the shouts of several men could be heard from the other end of the pasture.

"Get 'im!"

"Corner it!"

"He can't get out now!"

Cassidy looked all around her. Where was Dreamer? He was missing! She noticed that the men were trying to tie something down, rather, someone down. A little dark bay foal. "Dreamer!" She took off towards the wranglers, who jumped out of the way just in time. She cane to a sliding stop in front of Dreamer. With a sharp squeal, Cassidy lifted her front hooves and struck out, trying to scare the men off. And it worked, the men hastily scrambled over the fence to safety.

Dreamer was struggling to free himself of the ropes holding his two hind legs together, but he only ended up tripping over himself. "Hold still." Cassidy ordered gently as she used her teeth to snap the ropes, freeing the frantic colt.

Sapphire trotted over towards the colt and helped Cassidy free him while calming him down in the process.

Dreamer quickly scrambled to his feet once the ropes were removed from his leg. Cassidy led him back to the others. "Get something to drink, Dreamer." She said, turning to face Tech, who was smiling at her.

"You know we're gonna have to give him back when we find his mother, right?" He asked jokingly.

Cassidy snorted, slightly mad at him for the comment. "I know.." She had grown quite fond of the young colt, but she knew her responsibilty for caring for him would end when he and his mother were reunited.

Ace walked up to them. "Eh, Cass. Who's the shorty that's been followin you around?"
