Today was my dentist appointment for the second time this week.
Because I have a cavity.
That may not seem like a big deal to most people, but it is to me, for three reasons.
1. I have never had a cavity before. It's true.
2. I have very deep-rooted issues with needles.
3. I also have deep-rooted issues with dentists.
On Wednsday, I went in for a checkup. No big for most people, but apparently I'm not most people. I was in tears during the cleaning. I couldn't stand the feeling or sound.
Today it wasn't that bad. I think.... I think it was just me making myself wound up. The worst part, aside from the freezing, was the drill. It FREAKIN SCARED ME. I didn't like the sound it made or the feeling of it on my tooth. DX
Now, the dentist I had today was very sweet and gentle and understanding (I warned her right away that I'm scared of needles and such stuff). Her poor assistant though. XD They told me that if it hurt I was to raise my left hand. They soon hit a nerve or something. Because my hand flew up and knocked the girl who was helping the dentist in the head. XD I didn't mean to, though! Honest!
Well, I lived. That's the main thing. I'm at home, trying to make my heart rate return to normal, eating a frozen slushie from yesterday, and trying to re-focus myself on my story. XD
I'm just..........shakey, I guess. >_>

Sounds like a funny experience...I've been to the dentist before (once) I only got a cleaning and I was pretty jumpy through it. So I know how you feel. But the knocking the assistant-that sounds hilarious! XD

My first visit I was nearly hyperventilating there and accidently punched the cup of the ledge.
My 2nd one, the doctor said I needed to pull out some teeth.
But.....

Don't worry. I have the same issue with dentists and needles as you Cassidy. I don't like things that penetrate my skin or any foreign object that goes inside my body like needles and scapels.
I had to have some fillings and yes the dreaded drill made me cry. The worst part was that I'm a 19 year old girl bawling my eyes out over the dentist.
On Thursday all of the girls in my year had to have injections for cervial cancer, and out of everyone in my class, I was the only one who wasn't freaking out!
But now my bicep hurts ________
I understand your fear of the drill though!
I've never had to go to the dentist for anythinbg like a cavity or a filling (Just 6 month check-ups) ________
But when I fractured my ankle once, I had to wear a cast that went up to my knee, and when I got the cast taken off they had to use a big rotating saw to get it off, and I kept moving my leg because I didn't want the saw to touch my leg, but then the nurse told me to keep it still, so my mum and dad had to hold it (My leg) still.
And then the nurse kept talking to me (Because I was hysterical at the time)
....But I ended up shouting at her, it was a funny moment for me!
But don't worry Danielle, it's over now, and we're all here for you!

Thanks guys. As some of you may have noticed, I was a hysterical nervous train wreck on the verge of explosion for pretty much all day yesterday. I have so many issues. XD Thank goodness the dentist I had was kind. Otherwise more people would have been hurt. XD
So, now some of you realize where the idea of Cassidy's deep-rooted fear of needles and doctors and hospitals came from. :3

I hate going to the dentist. Sometimes when they clean my teeth I have to prevent myself from swallowing the water. It's like I'm drowning or something that I twitch a little trying to give a sign to the dentist to stop and let me rinse. But it doesn't work much. ^^;
I especially hate it when they stuff my mouth with cotton. I had root canal a year ago and I went to the dentist for like I dunno 6 times a week or something like that. And I also jumped when the dentist hit my nerve! It was the experience I would never forget. Too much pain after that. When I jumped it surprised the dentist that she had to tell me to wipe away the tears. ^^;
When I was I dunno second or third grade? When I went to the dentist something was wrong with my tooth. But I can't remember what that was right now. And that dentist skewered a tool into one of my teeth. It didn't really hurt, just felt like something is pushing my jaw down hard.
So you're not the only one with dentist issues.

And PurpleGirly, a mouth gaurd is a plasticy/rubber thing that is moulded to the shape of your teeth that you wear at night to keep you from grinding your teeth :3
