I tend to draw a circle/oval for his head, and then draw a curved triangle about half way down the circle and I begin to add more detail from there. (For the face)
For the body...it's pretty much basic male anatomy. He's quite skinny, but he still has broad shoulders. So I tend to draw an upside-down triangle and make the waist the appropirate size, the legs and ears are pretty easy to do as long as you have a picture to study from .
