Randomly began wondering... Is there anyone here that doesn't have a LU OC? Or a character that doesn't in any way relate to them?
I myself don't, at least not an extra team member, a love child, a character to pair up with a canon, etc. Although, I may just being a hypocrite, since in my ongoing fanfiction "Heirs" (posted in the fanfiction section, as well as on ff.net), there will be OCs. But none of them are based on the original cast in any way.
So yeah, I'd like to think that I don't. Now... Anyone else?
Also, if you DO have an OC, why did you create it? Because everyone else was doing it? Because you felt like it? Because you had a crush on one of the main characters? Discuss.

The funny thing about my OCs is that... ... None of them have any direct relation to the Loonatics at all. 8D Excla is just friendly with everyone... ... and the Anomalies are just trouble for the 'Tics... And the other lady is more of a plot forcer than an actual OC. Notice how I only mention her ONCE IN A WHILE. And I don't even include her in chats.
So yea. I basically created my OCs for my own entertainment. Excla was mostly off a whim. The Nommies were for story progression. The lady is for story progression. Dakkarsis is... ... .. I dunno. Dakkarsis actually shouldn't exist.
+Shoves Dakk into a wooden box and ships him to Antarctica+ I'm probably never gonna pair any of my characters with the 'Tics because, whatever the pairing, it just WOULD. NOT. WORK. OUT.

Mine kind of aids the main characters in his original fic. He really wasn't the centre of attention for it. Guess I made him to get some characters out of/ into tough jams.
I made another one just to get his story cleared up. *shrugs* :/

Well, now that that's out of the way, My OC Quick came about simply out of pity. I felt bad for Speedy Gonzalez because he was actually a Looney Tune of high status. The only reason they didn't incluse a Speedy character on LU was because they were afraid of 'political incorrect-ness' the same reason Speedy Gonzalez was more or less canceled from life. They didn't want to add a Mexican character and go through the same troubles again. Understandable. But I felt bad. Soooo I thought about it and made one up.
She progressed into Quick. And it's funny you ask, because I feel like my OC isn't anything like me. She's not my total opposite, but she's very different. I tried to do that; create a different person.
And like Andera I also created her before LUO. Granted, i did eventually turn to having my OC crush on my fav. character, but that just came about because.....it did. And I thought the show could use more 'real-ness', buuuut after LUO things changed (though I have to admit not in my MIND *wiggles fingers*)
I felt kinda bad for Tech. He worked his butt off all day and night and barely got any appreciation for it. I wanted to have a character who could relate to him, know how he really felt. Cassidy was never intended to be paired up with Tech, but the readers of my stories seemed to think it was a good idea, so I thought about it and agreed with them. The two knew each other from college, but the meteor literally took that away from both of them.
Cale.... was made purely for her little appearance in Time Race. I never meant for her to become any more. BUT. After meeting and becoming tight with these crazy people. *points to Lauren, Andrea, Serenity, Sye, Syaz, Emily, Brigid* I expanded her personality and what-not.
Honestly, if it weren't for these guys' interest... there would be no Felicity either.
Maria. Again, made for her appearances in my fics. I was hoping to keep her on a low-profile like I failed with the others, but Brigid came along and messed it up XD
So, yeah. I blame it all on my readers 83 XD *joking*

Heheheh. My OC is completely un original. But its not my fault! XD
Well, when first made Iciana Elizabeth Anne Fox (Or just Icy Fox XD) I didn't even chat online, let alone even knew this site exsisted. And even started making a fanfic for her before I even knew what a fanfic was. She was supposed to be shy and was an old friend of Tech and Rev's. I was planning to pair her up eventually, just as soon as I figured out which one I liked better. XD
Well to point out some originality I just happened to accomplish was she didn't join the team after the series ended, she had joined the team before the series started. Who knows, there could have been some adventures they had before the Ice Vikings because they sure looked like they knew what they were doing. So I put her in as one of the first recruits with the rest of the team but she disappeared after one of their missions for about three years.
But then I found LUO. This is the first forum I've ever chatted on but I didnt use Icy at first. I didnt start using her until I was on here for at least six months. And by that time she had gained a personality all her own. She became a hotheaded tomboy which I thought was really real because of the irony in having ice powers. It was going to go on that it was jsut a close friendship between her and Tech and Rev, but that changed just recently. I figured Cassidy already kinda unoficially had dibs on Tech so everyone kept pressuring me to pair her with Rev. Which is what ended up happening.
And then the twins were jsut for fun. I'm working on a fanfic for like a next generation of Loonatics so I needed Icy and Rev to have at least one kid. But then unoriginality hit again and I created twins. XD
........and then there's Ozzie. XD *brickd* *outcold*

I must have explained Seth's story over 10 times by naow XD My mom came home from shopping with a Full Metal Alchemist volume while I was watching LU and I was like YAAAAAAY and I was like lol Tech should have a little brother, I shall name him Dusk....nah I'll name him Seth and he shall be an alchemists of many strengths! He was supposed to be very shy and sweet but I met YOU lot and now he's a perverted weirdo' XD He was originally supposed to date Rip....but then I met Sye and Miss Quick and I think I forced a marriage on the two XD (soooooorrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy XD) and.....yah....that's Seth.
DUSK on the other hand was supposed to be Ace's stuntman rival and he was going to have this awsome sword and be total @$$ XD But I started liking the idea of wings and doodled some on to him....and I fell in love XD So I changed his backround a bit and bada bing bada boom DUSK.
Quintooooooonnnnnnnnn was the aftermath of serious Seck XD I wanted a twist ending for my fanfic and with te permission of the ttly awsome Sye, I made Quick preggo :3 Personally, I like preggo Quick....she was so bi-polar...it was fun XD I pretty much created older Quint's personality without consulting Sye, she was so busy with her fanfics and such I didn't want to bother her.....;_; Soooorrryyyy DX Anywho, older Quint's just a serious scholar with a potty mouth and a total procrastinator. I actually named him after Quinton Flynn who was the voice actor for Axel in Kingdom Hearts 2....don't judge me...Sye said it sounded like a spanish word....so it was all goooooood 83
