Has anyone besides me noticed that Slam and Lexi are put together sometimes? The best example might be in "The World is My Circus" where Slam and Lexi switched powers. Are the WB hinting something here, or it's just that those 2 are the only ones left for the last pair?

Slam and Lexi are the only ones left after you take everything into account. Ace and Duck as a team makes some pretty entertaining TV, and if you say that Tech and Rev don't work well together, you haven't been watching enough TV.
Of course, I wouldn't stick it past Kids' WB to be hinting some obscure pairing...they never think, do they?
Hey, it's not only on TV! In some of the stories in FF.Net when the Loonatics are splitting into teams Lexi and Slam are often put together. Or everyone would be alone exept Lexi and Slam because they are placed together. I can understand that Slam couldn't be alone, but why put him with Lexi when you have 4 other guys?

Well Slam in my opinion isn't all muscle. He does have feelings too. I guess when Lexi is with him, she brings out his sensitive caring side under all that muscle cos most of the time you see Slam fighting but Lexi + Slam = Sensitive understanding Slam.
Also, has anyone noticed how most of the time when Slam speaks his gobbledy-gook, Lexi is usually the one to listen to him or understand and respond to him? Possible things going on anyone?
In my opinion, Slam and Lexi share a bond similar to that of say...Beauty and the Beast, only platonic. Slam does have feelings, and Lexi helps bring those out. She`d probably comfort Slam whenever he`s distressed or unhappy, and he`d protect her with his life (I`m sure he`d do that for any member of the group, but just look at "A Creep in the Deep" to see what I mean) if she was in danger. Lexi and Slam can show their gentler sides around each other (although they don`t always get along - remember Zozo?). So, I just see it as a very close friendship, not quite romantic, but closer than just casual teammates.
On a side note, I think the reason she translates the most is because I theorize she has Aural Translation powers that allows her to comprehend what someone is saying regardless of their tongue or dialect. She`s already shown she could hear what the dolphins were saying long before Tech made that translator.

If Lexi is the only one that seems to pay Slam's grunts and growls any attention, it could also be due to her sensitve hearing too, which allows her to hear things more readily than the others.
But i certainly don't think Lexi and Slam have anything 'romantic' going on between them!

I really don't see it happening on the show but for fan fiction purposes, anything can be possible.
I wanted to add the reasons why I don't think Slam/Lexi would happen:
Some of the same problems with Danger/Lexi apply with Slam/Lexi--difference of species; the male being a non-alpha/follower/low ranker of the group.
None of the benchmarks of a potential love affair have been seen between Slam and Lexi. Examples: lingering touches; longing looks; blushing; fainting into the arms of the other; panicking over the other's demise; jealousy towards potential rivals; occasional teasing/bickering and so on.
So far it's possible that Ace and (even Danger) have had their "shippy" moments with Lexi. I haven't seen such a thing that so far between Slam and Lexi. The closest is in A Creep in the Deep where Lexi radios Slam for help. Slam helps but it's as a concerned colleague/friend. Lexi passes out on the ocean floor but we don't even see Slam pick her up. If it was supposed to be a "shippy" moment; we would've seen Slam pick up Lexi. Matter-of-fact, usually when the moment is shippy--we would've seen Lexi actually faint into Slam's arms. But even with Lexi already passed out, in order to be "shippy" the director would've lingered on the moment/time Slam had Lexi in his arms. Since the moment wasn't even shown; presumably that means Slam and Lexi have a working relationship and the show's staff want the viewers to be aware of that.
As for Slam's gibberish, Duck also understands Slam. I also believe that Rev understands Slam too. (I need to re-watch some episodes again to be 100% sure though.)
It's my belief that Lexi is an understanding, empathic person. Also, she is a female. So in all likelihood that means she's going to be shipped with anything that practically moves. But I feel as far as the show is concerned, TPTB will probably hit us over the head if and when they really decide to pair her up with somebody. I don't take much stock in an overly construed isolated moment here, or a wayward glance there. I believe that official shippiness from the show will be consistent and direct or at least I would hope so. ^_^;;;
I don't really see any hints towards a relationship with them. It's just my opinion, but I don't think WB meant to hint in any way towards a relationship any higher than friendship with them.
