So as not to confuse my avvie with Anna`s, I changed it to the one with a purple-ish tone. I already screwed up once by using the same avatar as Cali-Bunny; I don`t want to repeat the same mistake.

Yes. I had to make a "What's up, Doc?" icon. |P Otherwise, it would have kept me up all night. Oh, you knew that was coming! XD

The Ace and Ace/Tech icons I made from screencaps I took from Coldblood's episode uploads on Youtube. The Lexi and Duck icons I made from screencaps from the KidsWB website.

The first one I really like, the second one I think came out like something... not nice. -.- I'll probably go back and fix it in the future. What's with the Tech/Lexi, you ask? One: I liked how that shot looked, and Two: ...I'm a Tech/Lexi fan, heheheh.

It proves my view that Tech relates to Lexi like a big brother. Yeah, it does look sweet. Of course, I still think a scene between Ace and Lexi would look sweeter. You know, I didn`t remember seeing Tech with sad eyes as well. Shows how much I concentrated on the lamenting lady. Man, I`ve gotta see that episode again!

How do I get your icons to be my Avatar?

Right click on the desired picture, then hit "properties". Once there, copy the picture URL and paste it onto the appropriate spot in your preferances (which can be reached by choosing to edit your profile). The picture can be a maximum of 100 x 100 pixels, which these are fortunately, so there`ll be no problems. If you need any more help, send me a personal message about it and I`ll give you a more in-depth explanation.

XD Heh, you know, when I was making that icon, I was going for a more "shipper-y" view, but now that I think about it, I guess it could be taken either way! xp So, having said that, I hope rabid Tech/Lexi haters don't eat me! :x (If there are any.)

Well, Lonely Light, looks like your icons made quite an impression. I think it`s safe to say at least half of the members here now have an avvie themed off the show. Thanks a bunch for your hard work. I really enjoy my new Ace/Lexi avatar ^_^

Here are a few more icons. I'm so glad you guys like them, especially since I'm pretty new to icon-making!

I'm really upset at how the second one looks. I had a much, much better looking version, but my Photoshop crapped out before I could save it, and I had to start over. ><!! Stupid computer. [kicks it] Though I really like the first one (seriously-- Duck's Aqua Dense is the coolest. ...But if he says the name of it every time he uses it, I will cry), so I guess it all evens out. :p

Yet it feels natural to me for him to say it every time he uses it. It`d feel strange if he didn`t. And, since you`re new at this kind of thing, if "New is Better" ever held true, it`d apply to you. You`re really good at this for a starter. How do you do that trick with the colors?

As for the color thing, well, I use Photoshop to make my icons. I use layers to add different colors, gradients, and textures to the icon, and fiddle with the blending modes and opacity/fill percentages until I get something I like. it's basically just a lot of experimentation. Here's an example:

Here is the icon:

And here are all the layers I used:

Now, let's see what happens when I take out a layer...

I took layer 12 out and made it invisible, and now the icon looks like...

This. Cool, it's blue! :D Pretty.

So yep, that how I do the colors! ^^

Gaaah... I think I may have overdone it with the red gradient in the first one... I'll work on a different vesion later.

As for that Acmegeddon Ace/Lexi icon... well, don't expect it anytime soon. -_-; I need better screencaps, the ones I got were too grainy to do me any good. x.x;

Just one today:

I was going to put in text saying, "The space between us" but I decided against it, since I think it would have given it more of a "shipper" view, so I left it as a blank. (Though Tech/Rev is my One True *Platonic* pairing... who says pairings have to be romantic? ;p ) I'll post some more over the weekend if I have time.
