I'm back! it's been a slow couple of weeks, but here are a few new icons!



The text placement annoyed me to no end, and I'm still not completely satisfied with it, but hopefully, everyone will think it's okay (and readable)!

Also, no offence to anyone with the Tech icons. I am a fangirl and sometimes-slasher myself. Just a little tongue-in-cheek humour.

Ugh, sorry for the lack of icons, guys. Life has been particularly draining, especially last month, so I haven't been able to sit down and take screenshots for my icons. That, and I think I might have drained my creative-ness making this big-ass collage for my Crime and Punishment report... I just had to use PS, I couldn't have just printed out pictures and glued them onto a piece of paper, no, I had to go all fancy-schmancy and probably drain the god freakin' ink cartridge... but... I digress...

Anyway, now that that report is done and out of the way, and life has (hopefully) gone back to normal, (and after seeing that production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream, which, oddly, has jump-started my creativity) I'll be able to get out some icons! Yay! Expect some next week... or sooner!

Eheheheh. Yes. XD I actually had a bit of trouble uploading it, because the original file name had the word in it, so I had to replace it with "hell". ^^; It's supposed to look like a "wide screen, old-movie-or-maybe-photo-type-since-it's-kind-of-sepia-colored" kind of thing (hence the black bars, and the grain I added into the shot), but the Tech shot is a little big, so the bars came out too thin, and the text came out too small. >< I'll be fixing it up later.

I followed this very nice walkthrough I found on LJ on how to make a "vintage" icon... but it didn't come out so well... probably had something to do with it being an animated image, since I tried it out on a Buffy screenshot, and it came out much better looking.

Well, the red says "Tech E." And, since I just wanted to fill up some of the empty space (and because I was looking at an old movie poster at the time) I put, "Starring Kevin Michael Richardson" in black under it. XD Readability is for sissies! (In icon making.) Thanks for the compliment! Hopefully, I'll be able to get out some LU icons sometime soon.

A few icons, but no LU ones... because after spending two hours going back and forth between episodes, snagging screenshots and having to go back when the ones you take are less than par, cutting and pasting and cutting and pasting some more... well, frankly... my eyes hurt. x_x

I'll try to get some more LU icons up soon, but I don't know if I want to see another bunny, coyote, road runner, duck, tasmanian devil, or alien woman for a while. x_X

Well, it's been a while. Sadly, i haven't really been into making LU icons, but with the season finale playing next week, I have a feeling my interest will grow again.

In the meantime, here's my first animated icon! :D It's nothing much, but I think it came out okay. I intended to make this for the LU community on LJ, but anyone here can use it if they like.

My LU muse... I thought it'd never come back! [sobs]

...Well, actually, it didn't, not really. >< I haven't taken a single screenshot of Loonatics in months or made icons of it, and I don't think I will for a while. I haven't had the inspiration. Instead, I've been making icons of stock photos, Doctor Who, Buffy, and various other things.

But, since this has been empty and lonely for quite some time, I thought I should finally take the time after 3 months to make some icons, but not image icons (since I haven't been taking screenshots)... text icons!



These were easier than using screenshots. XP Arranging the text was tiresome, and finding text color to go with the background colors/textures was tedious, though... but all in all, I think it came out okay-- and it was fun! I'll do some more later...
