I got a couple of videos I like and I wanted to see what you think. (I did not make them, Im useless at that kind of thing.)

These are made by great people and I really like what they make. (don't know these people personally but I love their work!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpw_Z8HTMTM

This one is a music video with lots of anime scenes, I only know that the song is called "Protecting me". This video was made by aaland01 so credit to them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fqx5Nx2BDew

Ok, This is also a music video but this time it has lots of scenes from Kaleido Star. (an anime) The music to this one is "Perseus" by Hitomi Shimatani. This one was made by killstroid, credit goes to them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBFkZaiN6M0

Yes, also a Kaleido star scenes music video. Made by SoraOsward and the music is "Dragonfly" by DK Smile, I think.... (My personal Fav)

Hope you like!

Ok Stellamagic I found acouple of videos with the Loonatics but they are mostly music videos, not actual episodes. (Though I wish Youtube left the LU Episodes & Coldbloods alone)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7rd-x24heo

Ok this is called "Cartoon Heroes" and this was made by someone called techecoyote and has all sorts of cartoons in this video including the Loonatics.

Music: Cartoon Heroes by Aqua

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C43ka2VeHHE

This one was also done by techecoyote and this is also a music video. This one was a tribue to all the cartoons Cartoon Network (CoughstupididioticpeoplewhodestroykidscartoonsCough) cancelled but I think they brought back xiaolin showdown BUT WOULD THEY BRING THE  LOONATICS BACK, OOOOHHHH NNNNOOOO!!!!!!!

Music: Who Knew by Pink

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTISqDGcIP0

I think this is the closest thing we will get to an episode on YouTube, It's the second season's theme song, you know, bad rapper but good animation on it.

Hope you like this!

Hi guys

I just found (or just got curious) this video, it's an advert for the Loonatics BEFORE WB changed it becourse people complained about it. Take a look and tell me what you think:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb702g6i-3k&NR

Personally, I think, yes, changing the loonatics from this to our beloved show we know today, was a good idea but it's interesting to learn the shows origans

Yu-gi-oh the abridged series. Small and delicious like a juicy green apple. Fourteen 'episodes' (not counting imposter videos) have been made so far. They get better and more snarky over time.

Well, the Tech and Rev episode did drag on until the bit where Tech pokes Rev with a screwdriver. But I did giggle when the end bit said "And Tech poked Rev with a screwdriver".

And the Spongebob Square pants movie was funny. I just had to turn off the bit where it goes "I love you. You love me" not because it was bad but because that "I love you" song gives me the creeps.

Song "I love you" by Barney the evil dinosaur starts.

Barney: I love you. You love me.

Me: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

A flashback to the 90's, when the show "Tazmania" was on the air. There are a number of episodes of this show (for those old enough to remember) someone now posted on YouTube, but this was my favorite episodes (for obvious reasons). Marvin the Martian guest stars! His voice is really weird in it though. He sounds more like a teenager or something. It's still a cute cartoon, especially the BBQ scene.

Actually, someone uploaded LU episodes (didn't know if you knew that cause the quoted post was a long time ago).Loonatics On Ice
I didn't upload this. You can find the continuation of this ep and other eps too on the "member" section. So far he has
1. Loonatics On Ice
2. Cloak of Black Velvet
3. Going Underground
4. The World Is My Circus
And I think that's it. And according to his description on Going Unerground, he won't be uploading anymore.

Maybe not, but as long as there are cartoons that manage to give me a good laugh and make me happy, all's good.

The problem is, even those are rare.
I sorta gave up on 'cartoon hunting', because I just know there's nothing worth to watch on tv anymore. This is why I got into LU only recently, I was simply not interested and couldn't be bothered to wait for it to come on, to take a look at it.
It was all luck - I was bored, and switching between channels carelessly, then i put on Cartoon Network and LU was running (Menace of Mastermind, I find it amusing it was a Tech centered episode), I thought "oh, fine. I've always said I'd give this lame thing a chance before giving it a final judment".

Look at me now...

So, hope isn't lost, at least for entertaining cartoons. But the days of brilliant ones like Animaniacs are over, sadly.

Oh boy I am a TOTAL slave for the SatAm Sonic. That's what started my obsession for the Blue Blur more than a decade ago! I MUST get the DVD set they released this March, I have all the episodes on my HD, but they're low in quality and sound.

I'm pissed at DiC for cancelling the third season, though. They were supposed to make it but they did an entirely different Sonic cartoon instead, called Sonic Underground. Which is...just...retarded.

They also made another cartoon called, "AoSTH", if I recall it correctly.  When I saw a few episodes on Youtube, I liked the original Sonic the Hedgehog voice (Jaleel White), along with the original Tails "Miles" Prower voice (Bradley Pierce); the Sonic X voice of Sonic the Hedgehog is...too bland.  The Sonic X voice of Tails "Miles" Prower is too scratchy and does not fit.

Back on topic, I remember seeing Tiny Toon Adventures, and my favourite character was, and always will be, Gogo Dodo.  He did not get enough screentime, which saddened me greatly.

When I was searching for an episode with him in it, I found this instead:

Yep. AoStH, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
That and SatAm premiered the same month back in '93, but they contrasted sharply with each other.

Both were aimed at kids, but while the first was a happy-go-lucky type of show, the latter had a darker tone and an actual storyline that developed in each episode.

Sonic X was a flop.
I remember the day it premiered in Japan, the episode was already up for download the same weekend, that's how excited the fans were. The very first episode of the show was amazing, I'll admit that - not only it was somewhat dark, but the animation was flawless, and it was the very first cartoon that used Sonic's updated look, so it was a big new. Too bad that the rating dropped in later episodes, making it lose all of its charm.
In certain parts of the show the humor was so forced that it made me want to cry.

However, I have to say that the second season of Sonic X has been improved. A LOT. One major difference between the first and second season, is the fact that the latter is considerably darker and more mature in tone. Many characters undergo serious, nearly-fatal injuries, and several of them even die, such as one of the central characters.

Near the end of an episode, when Tails is forced to kill said character (at her own request), when he's about to press the fire button, he's suddently overcome with emotion and slams his head on the control panel as he begins crying in despair. It was such a strong scene, that it was censored and altered in the US version (but I have the French version. BWAHAHA!).

Ah sorry...i went off on a tangent. Pardon my fangirlism.

Shirako, would you mind using larger fonts? I have terrible sight and reading text so small is really hard for me. =\

Oh?  You have terrible eyesight?  My apologies...

As for Sonic X, they should have, in my opinion, kept Emerl alive.  His saga was too short (only four episodes, I believe), and Cream seemed pretty attached to him.  She was crying a bit when she had to fight him, and she cried hysterically when he self-destructed; Emerl himself "cried" a bit when he saw captured images of Cream crying.

And as for the character dying...was that the green humanoid plant?  What was its name...?

And are there any copies of the Japanese Version of Sonic X on the internet?  I would like to see the uncensored, original version.  The cartoons of today are not as daring or as risky as they used to be.

Here is an example:

Ayelet:  AoStH was my poison back in the day.  It was the first incarnation of Sonic that I saw, so as is usual for me, it became my favorite.  SatAM grew on me a lot after I started reading the Archie comics (before they turned to crap).
...didn't Rob Paulsen voice Antoine in SatAM?

I've never understood American censors'... almost obsession with mutilating anime when it's dubbed.  Do they really think American kids are so much more fragile than the rest of the world's? mad.gif
Je veux la version francaise de cette episode! =D

Shirako:  Her name was Cosmo, if I'm not mistaken.

Regarding the video - That wasn't risk.  That was excessive didacticism at its finest, a PSA posing as a cartoon.  It's a good message for young kids, to be sure, but I think the... exaggerations were taken a bit far.

Shirako: Emerl was a pretty useless character for the series, just as most of the characters Sonic Team created after Sonic Adventure. I see your point, but I barely even consider Cream's existence, so I don't really care.
Yes, her name was Cosmo.

Ski: Yes he did! I find it ridicolously amusing that he went from dubbing a coyote to a roadrunner! XD It gives me neverending mental lulz.
This is where you can get the entire second season, the episode I'm talking about is #77. The problem is that the site where the vids are hosted is currently down and no one knows when/if it'll come back up. =(
If you really want it, I could send it to you through MSN, but it'd require at least 2 hours, if not more.

That might be more than half of the main reason why America censors many cartoons and anime.  I believe that America wants to show that their children are innocent and that they "set good examples".  But are America's children really innocent?  No.  Children and teenagers swear on occasion; the 'n' word is used casually instead of being used as an insult.  I will bet that the African Americans who tried so hard to rid the world of that racial slur are very disappointed in their descendants.

Je veux la version francaise de cette episode! =D

Somtimes, I really think the entertainment industry (especially for children) has gotten excessively puritanical in nature.  I mean, think of movie ratings right now.  Think of Lilo and Stitch for example.  It is rated PG, according to IMDB, for mild sci-fi action.  Beauty and the Beast was rated G, but yet is far more violent than most kids movies today, with all the scenes of Beast fighting, the villagers talk of killing him at the climax of the movie with a song, and of course the Beast recieving a fatal stab in the back from Gaston.  Who Framed Roger Rabbit (released in 1988) is rated PG, yet contains several scenes involving alcohal, somewhat strong language, violence, and sexual referances.

Wacky times we're living in.

Quite a lot of Disney movies are really violent. I re-watched Bambi recently (I was bored) and was surprised by how violent it was.

Of course lots of shows are violent. Think of the Looney Tunes, TMNT, Batman, Superman, Beauty and the Beast (as Anna said earlier), Bambi (as Daphne said) The Jungle Book, The Lion King, All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Black Stallion, Black Beauty, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White (this one creeped me out when i was little) and many other shows have violence. Have you seen many cartoons and movies that aren't?

It seems to me that the people that make these shows think that the violence in them is funny, will be unnoticed by the viewers or they accidently put it in (which i highly doubt). But if you think back to them and rewatch them closely, I bet that most shows will or would have violence in it one way or another. Just goes to show that humans cant resist the temptation of violence in movies.

It seems as though violence in the movies is an old tradition that ain't going to leave anytime soon.

You have to understand that movies aren't rated on the simple existence of violence alone, though. It all boils down to different degrees and how malicious, blatant, and graphic the material is. Sure, Beast may get stabbed at one point in the Disney film, but it's a huge leap from watching an eye cut out in Hostel.

Actually, the only rating problem that ever got to me was that with all three Lord of the Rings movies. They had explicit gore, death, blood, and depressing subject matter, and yet still retained a PG-13 rating. I'd imagine handing it an R rating would have significantly reduced its income, seeing as a large chunk of their demographic was that of teens, so I kind of view that as an annoying under-the-table deal. I suppose it's all fine and dandy since it was mostly fictional creatures getting diced, chopped, and dismembered (for the most part). Black blood makes it A-okay! blankstare

Oh, and by the way, you all realize that before the second Indiana Jones movie (Temple of Doom), there was no such thing as a PG-13 rating?  It was created specifically for that movie.

Yes I do understand about how they rate them but i was just noting that many children's movies (hec. all movies) do have some violence in them, but some more then others.

And about the Indiana Jones movie (Temple of Doom), I didn't know that! I used to watch Indiana Jones movies with my dad all the time. Geez... I seem to learn alot here on LUO!

Yea, it wasn't blatantly violent enough to garner an R rating, but there was definitely enough in it that they knew young children shouldn't see (beating heart scene, etc.), moreso than the first movie. So that gave birth to the very first PG-13 rating.
