Perhaps the friggin` biggest poll we`ve ever seen. The title is self-explanatory; sorry if there`s already a topic like this one on the forum. I`ve included slash pairings out of respect for the corresponding shippers. Ahead of time, I`ll say that my vote goes to Ace/Lexi.
Did you make up the mountain climber in Lexi/Mountain Climber?
Not really, it`s a bit of a joke from The Hunter. I suppose you could say it`s an excuse to fill up the selections. But, just in case someone supports it, I listed it here, even if "Other" could have fulfilled the same role.
I am into the Tech/Mastermind pairing because in "The Menace of Mastermind" and "Acmegeddon pt 1", Tech and Mallory showed hints of still having feelings for each other.
Well until a pretty female road runner comes into Rev's life, slashers will continiue to pair Rev up with Tech! LOL! The producers better start introducing some love interests for the Loonatics in future before all these strange pairing ideas in the fandom start getting wilder and more random! I've always fancied the idea of Tech developing a potential romantic interest with a white she-wolf for some reason.
RevRunner wrote: I would say Ace/ Lexi and Duck/ Lexi. Also, can't Rev be with any other character, besides Tech?
Well, there`s always "Other" to choose if you`re pairing isn`t listed above. I meant to list Lexi/Melvin, but that`ll have to count under "Other" now. Technically, you can choose any pairing you wish, so long as you post who it is. I suppose I can also allow fan char pairings, since I myself have one or two fan char couples.
Currently, I don't ship anyone so I'll go with my favorite friendship, Danger & Lexi.
I enjoy the Danger/Lexi friendship. They have a few interesting things in common. I consider them the betas* of the group. They both have aquatic based enhancements to their offensive powers. They both have been shown to be concerned with appearance.
But where the similarities end, the differences make for an interesting relationship. There is a Yin/Yang quality to their personalities. Lexi is empathetic, self-sacrificing and kindhearted; while Danger is egotistical, self-preserving and coldhearted. On the surface it seems that those two wouldn't have anything to do with each other but surprisingly their friendship works. I think that it's on the principle that the sum is greater than the parts, in the sense that their seemly opposite traits balances out in a partnership.
Lexi also has a more serious attitude than Danger's general jokester style. That helps to make Lexi an excellent "straight (wo)man" to Danger's comedic endeavors. But Lexi isn't a doormat to Danger's antics and she's more than willing to fight back if need be. In that sense, Lexi and Danger have a comedic style reminiscent of Bugs and Daffy.
So with all of that said, do I think Danger and Lexi have a chance at romance on the show--Nope!** Danger's not the star of the show, Ace is. And if TPTB want to feature a romance; the star (that would be Ace) for all intents and purposes always gets the girl (and that would be Lexi).
*Ace is the undisputed alpha male. Lexi could be considered an alpha female by default since she's the only female Loonatic. But if Zadavia's leadership position is factored in, Lexi becomes a beta in the organization.
**Besides, what would Bugs Bunny say if his (supposedly) great, great, great, great ... granddaughter hook-uped with a duck? And what's worse, a duck who's a descendent of Daffy Duck? Bugs would probably get in a time machine and put a stop to such shenanigans! Of course, if Daffy found out that Bugs was trying to put a stop to a possible romance between their great, great ... grandchildren, Daffy would probably get offended and then he would jump into a time machine and put a stop to Bugs putting a stop to Danger and Lexi's romantic liaison. Ya' see the problems that such a mixed romantic relationship*** could cause. It could turn into a farcical slapstick version of Romeo and Juliet.
***Duck/Bunny although possibly problematic isn't as bad as the ménage à trois of Duck/Duck/Goose but that's a horse of a different color.
Crossfire wrote: So, would you consider Lexi and Duck to be of a brother-sister relationship, then?
I dunno ... There have been some cute moments but I don't remember anything outright shippy. I think they're just platonic friends.
Edit: I just wanted to add that the brother-sister dynamic doesn't rule out the possibility of romance. Kim/Ron [Kim Possible] was described by many fans to be a sister-brother relationship but nonetheless Kim and Ron ended up together.
But that goes back to my argument that the star of the show is the one who usually ends up in a romantic relationship. For instance, Danger has some bad personality traits but so did Darkwing Duck; and Darkwing ended up with the sultry Morgana MacCawber*. But Darkwing was the star of his own series.
So anyways, I feel that no matter how buddy-buddy Danger and Lexi are; they don't fit the formula for a romance. They probably will be the Beast Boy/Raven [Teen Titans]** of this series.***
*Sometimes I see elements of Darkwing/Morgana in Danger/Lexi. **BB/Raven remained platonic friends. ***Ace/Lexi will most likely be like Robin/Starfire [Teen Titans].

Amen...
But I don't think Lexi is the female Alpha, that's Zadavia... And I'm sure Bugs Bunny will not be that angry... for me the one whoe will hate that relationaship is Daffy Duck...
Oie...I`d like to point out (one more time) that Ace and Lexi getting together would not necessarily be incest. It`s a little something I call divergent decension. Bugs and Lola lived almost twelve generations ago; even if they did tie the knot, Ace and Lexi by no means have to be closely related whatsoever. Not to jump on anyone, but I just tire of people automatically assuming Ace and Lexi are siblings just because their ancestors very likely hooked up (someone on this site once mentioned they`re getting tired of seeing people associate everything cool with Japan; that`s sort of how I feel about people assuming Ace + Lexi = siblings/close cousins).
Now, this isn`t to say you can`t still ship Duck/Lexi, I just wanted to make sure we`re clear on the whole Ace/Lexi relation thing.
What's there to explain? Assume that Ace and Lexi aren't related. Then they aren't - simple as that. They could even say so in an episode. I don't see how kids that watch LU can't understand - it's perfectly simple, and some of them might not even realize who Bugs and Lola were in the first place.
...who's Lola? -brick'd- I WAS KIDDING! -brick'd more-
Ace and Lexi might have common ancestry, but they're generations apart. Legally, they can be together.
To Tyranee: Daffy might object at first but I think once he sees Lexi, he'll probably congratulate Danger.
Mr "I hate bunnies"???
Maybe... maybe not...
I think if he see Duck reall love Lexi or Lexi put him in his place, he will agree... but not before he fight!!!!
Bugs... who know??? His great great great great great greatdaughter (that if he marry Lola) with a duck??? I think for him is not the great bad thing....

I have to agree with you about Daffy putting up a fight.
I think Daffy would only be for the Danger/Lexi relationship if Bugs was against it. I think if Bugs was for Danger/Lexi then Daffy would go against it. So, in a way, we are in agreement. I believe Bugs would be against Danger/Lexi; therefore Daffy would be for it. Whereas, I think you believe that Bugs would be for the relationship; therefore Daffy would be against it.
I think Daffy's real beef would be with his rival Bugs and not necessarily against Danger or Lexi.
I also believe that Daffy, as an insult towards Bugs, would believe that the Bunny bloodline would be so inbred that Lexi would look like this:
Ace: You bet! Heck, even Danger Duck looks better than that!
Lexi: Gee, thanks, Ace. Glad to know I`m competing with Duck.
*Lexi elbows Ace as she walks out of the room*
Ace: *to Tech, rubbing arm* Did I say somethin` wrong?
Tech: To start, if there was ever a reason for slash shippers to start speculating, that was it. Also, I think you touched down on a sensitive subject with Lexi. Needless to say, she`s a little hurt. (Oh, why does he always have to screw up every opportune moment? Duck gets to impress Zadavia more than this.)

Btw, I kinda imagined that Daffy would be the one against the relationship. He always saw Bugs as 'despicable' while Bugs was more laid-back and accepting of change.
But I agree on the part that Daffy would probably congratulate Danger for getting Lexi!

Ohhhhh......
God, I was all creeped out 'cause I thought that all of you knew something I didn't.....
WHAT ARE YOU ALL HIDING FROM ME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Lumosnight wrote: Are there any more of these twisted LU pics?
'Cause I can't find them!
Oh no, because I made that one. *blush* I was trying to explain why I thought Daffy Duck would be against one of his Duck descendants having a romance with a Bunny descendant. That image came to mind of what I thought Daffy would think of a (supposed) female descendant of Bugs Bunny.
Well to be fair to the Bunnies, I tried to come up with a Duck equivalent. From what info I could find, it seems that Daffy has had at least three different wives over the years. One looked like his sister, the other looked like him with a bow on her head and the third looked like a gorilla of a duck. So I wondered if Bugs assumed the worst and he knew about the strapping wife. Bugs might presume that Daffy had quite a few ducklings from that marriage. Therefore, Bugs might think that Daffy's descendent would look like this:
From the poll, so far it looks like the top three pairings are: 1. Ace/Lexi 2. Tech/Rev 3. Duck/Lexi

........Well, that was also scary.
But it looks way better than the Lexi one!

I love the Tech/Rev friendship also, so I have no complaints.
An "other" pair entry that I like is Stoney/Bugsy.
Danger/Lexi Friendship: Addendum
I recently noticed that Danger and Lexi have a few more traits in common.
Like Danger, Lexi has as ego. Not as bad as Danger's but its there. She typically gloats upon being victorious. She's vain. She doesn't like it when other women are considered prettier than her (she displayed jealousy over the fawning of Misty Breeze and Black Velvet). She's also egotistical enough to compare herself to Helen of Troy (and as Danger pointed out, it was her gaming skills not her beauty that started the war with the Martian).
Both Danger and Lexi seem to have a tendency towards libidinousness and they like to kid each other about it. Lexi had a crush on the famous mountain climber, Ron Meyer-Kirk. And Danger had alluded to Lexi's many suitors. Danger had his crush on Misty Breeze and he was willing and able to secure the attention of the female(s) in the club. Lexi teased Danger about the Chinatown dragon being his girlfriend; whereas Danger teased Lexi about the rock monsters of Dr. Dare reminding him of her many suitors.
One of the reasons I'm a big fan of the Danger/Lexi friendship is because one has to look deeper to understand the nature of their friendship. Superficially, it may not make sense why they're friends but I feel once one gets a grasp on their personalities, it make perfect sense why they have bonded.
That's a very good in-depth look into Duck and Lexi's relationship there Superfreak! Now that you mention it, Lexi does seem to regard herself highly and can be easily offended by comments. Perhaps she and Duck do have more in common than is at first apparent.
I actually have a little theory about why Lexi might be occasionally fashion-centric/self-conscious, and it possibly inspired a future fan episode of my series.
I wish we had better names for these pairings. HSM has cool ones like Troypay and Ryella. Unfortunately, the Loonatics' namesare too short to do anything cool like that. The best one I've ever come up with is Roadote.
Skifox wrote: We could do 'Acexi' (which sounds kinda like 'Hey sexy!') but that doesn't really shorten anything, does it? XD *brick'd*
I suggested "Lace" once before. :P
