zadvaia: About a month ago my sensers piked up some adnormal energy signals. As I trased them I foned these two. (a holagram of a tall male brown rabbit, whering a pair of bagy blow jens and white tank top. His eyes wher the same as Lexis and her wore a bored expretion) Maximas Rabbit, has the power to tern one thing in to a nether.

Ace gave a unplesint look when he saw Lexi staring up in intrest. The hologram changed in to a siamese cat. Her long brown hair was tiyed back in a pony tail and bangs that fluffed up in front. she was dressed in green como-pants a light blow shirt with its sleeves torn off, a perple opened vest, and a plain green ring on her left hand.

Tech: Siamese!? (Tech stands up in dismay)

every one terns to Tech.

Ace: Ne,Old girl freind Tech?

Teck: Yes.. I meen no...We grow up to gether. See that ring shes whering I gave her that.

Lexi: Wow. Techs got a girl freind.

Zadvaia: Well soon Siamese Kat will be your co-worker Tech... I have not bin able to fully find out  what her powers are. I do know that they have to do with elemints.

Tech: Siamese?
The tale stoped and the crecher stood up. Sher anuff it was her.

Siamese: Tech, is that you. [she looked at the coyote for a few secondes]

Siamese: Tech it is you.[She whentruning at the coyote with a big smile and huged Tech allmost nocking him over]

Tech huged her back with the same smile

Tech: Siamese ,my sweet, its bin so long.

The other 5 loonatics stood dumfounded at the way Tech was acting espeshly him saying 'My sweet'

The room was plunged into a aquered silens. Tech lened over one of his inventions in work and fidled with not knowing what to say. Siamese had her hands behind her back and rubbed the back of her leg with her foot. She couldn't look up at Tech for some reson. Maybe it was becas of Him. Siamese's secret for allmost 8 years now.

Siamses: You know Tech I think you mite jest be bringing your work home with ya.

Tech let out a small laghe, his face full alittle agen: Siamese...I'm...I'm sory.

Siamese: Tech. It's okay I understand.

Siamses and Tech wher walking down a bissy roud. Tech was whering green pants and a white T-shert Siamese was whering the out fit they had found her in. Tech notesed the green ring on her finer but did not menshen it.

Siamese: We'er hear, Tech.

Tech looked up at the word on the bilding "Philips school for the Gifted"  in a smaller print was: ages 3 to 12. Tech looked at Siamese confused.

siamese: Come on! [She whent throw the dor fallowed by Tech]

In the maine room sat a yong woman at a desk. Siamese whent up and adressed the woman

Siamese: Hellow, Kely, I'm hear to pick up Cody.

Kely: Sher thing Siamese, He's in the midle of a chess game. But i'm sher he'll be done eny minet.

Siamese gave Tech a week smile as she fallowed this woman, Tech to fallowed. They stoped at a window in a hall and stared into the room. It was full of kids ( Arthros and hummons) ranging from 3 to12 playing chess and other mental/stragaty games. the woman walked off leving the two staring into the window.

Tech with a very comfused voce: Siamese what are we doing hear and whos Cody?
 Siamese: Hes...[she started but traled of. she pointed in to the room at a small arthro boy siting clous to the window]

He was playing a game of chess agenst a much older boy. This 'Cody' by the looks of things was 6 maybe 7 going on 8. He was a coyote. brown with cream colered hair coming out from beteth a red bandana raped arouned his head and long ears. Each ear had a 'spike' like Techs.
 
He was whering blow overalls that looked severall sizes to big and that had several paches. He had a white T-shert with green edging. He also had rather big glasses on, that wher being held together in the midle by tape. Behined the glasses where Cat-like blow eyes.

Tech [staring in dissbelef]: You have a SON!

Siamese: We have...

The loonatics all stared at one another.

Tech, now changed into uniform, knoked on Siamese's door, and whent in. He saw Siamese siting neckt to Coty on the bed. Cody was fidaling with what looked like a small robot he had brout from school.

Tech:Hay guys[Tech sounded nerves]

Siamese: So how they tack it? [she raped her armes aroun Cody, how had set down his invention]

Tech: Pritty well acsholy [he said siting down sest to the two.]

Cody looked up at Tech with his cat eye filled with aw.

Cody: Are you really my father?

Tech[smiled]: Yes...Yes I am

Cody [throwing him self onto Tech and huged him]:This is so cool! You've bin my Idol for so long and to lern that my Idol is my long lost papa. Maybe the kids at school will stop piking on me now!

Tech [now holding Cody in his lap]: piking on you.

Cody :Hehe ya, all be case I'm a 'Hafe Breed' without a father.[Cody gave a depressed look]

There was a small paws of silents.

Tech: Siamese maybe you should go back to you'er hows and get some of yours and Codys thing. Living hear comes with your new job, and Cody is more thin wellcom.

Tech had a small pried have Cody refer to him as Papa.

Siamese: Yes Cody.yes we are.

Tech: Ya so you'r mom is going to have to get your stuff and breing it hear. And wiall shes gone I'll woch you.

The two worked and talked. Tech would tell some of his storys of being a Loonatic, andCody would talk of random thins he like and enjoyed. Tech lerned that Cody was reading Advanced Physiks volume 3. Tech has reed the book when he was yonger as well, but at the age of 7 Tech was on Advanced Physiks volume 1 and had goten very confused at first. As they worked some thing Cody had said earlyer came to thoght.

Tech: Cody.

Cody: Yes Papa

Tech: earlyer you said some thing about being piked on at school.

Cody: You meen about being a 'hafe breed'

Tech: Yes

Cody[titining a scrou]: Well...The kids at school are what are called peer breeds. Ther parents are of the same speces. the Arthro kids who are lets say are k-9 have two k-9 parents, lagomorph kids have two  lagomorph parents. Me on the other hand have one thats feline and one thats coyote. Mom and I never said I had a coyote as a father, but I look like one and mom is oviesly cat...on top of beeing a hafe Breed the kids still think I'm fatherless. I ushaly ignor it but it still some times gets to me

cody stoped working and stared up at Tech, Tech stared down with a smile.

Cody: I may be, an all ways will be, a hafe breed but I'm not fartherless any more.[Cody huged Tech, Tech crouched down and huged him back]

Cody: I can't what to tell Anne and the other children at school about you. your the Idol of most of them, but get you as a dad.

Tech[relesing Cody]: Whos Anne

Cody[starting to tern red]: Oh shes a girl form school and my best friend. Her real name is Angie but she lets me call her Anne. Shes a hafe breed, like me. Her father is a hummon and her mother is a cat.

Cody pulled a photo out of his bandana and shoud it to Tech. The picher was of Cody and a girl rufly aroun his age and hghth. She looked hummon exsepped her feline nose ears and a tail, and her eyes wher the same as Codys. Tech gave it back to cody.

Tech: Maybe I could tack you to school towmarow. Meet your friend and class, if its alright with you mother.

Cody: Realy!? that would be awsome!

Siamese[how had jest walked in]:What would be awsome?

 "Papa wants to take me to school tomorrow and meet my class!" Cody answered looking at Siamese.

"Only if it's alright with you of course." Tech added, smiling at her.

"Please mama! Please, please, please can he?" Cody asked running up to his mom and hugging her around the legs as he sat on his knees in a begging fashion.

Siamese gave Tech a curious look before staring down into her son's eyes. "Of course he can."

"Yay!!! Thank you mama! Thank you!" Cody exclaimed as he hugged her around the waist before running over to Tech and leaping into his arms and giving him a hug.

Tech hugged him back tightly, feeling his son's little heart pounding rapidly in his chest. He gazed and smiled down lovingly at him before looking up to see Siamese's happy expresion. Tech felt as if his heart was to explode, it was filled with so much warmth and affection for the little being in his arms. He couldn't help but think that this was one of the most wonderful times of his life.

kari looked over at Rev nervously. She felt bad about what Duck had done to him, feeling that it was her falt that it had happened. She realized that she had a sudden yearning to hear his voice, to be in his presence, to talk to him, to gaze into those gorgeous emerald green eyes of his. She felt more cheerful when she was around him and she had realized that his smile always made her feel special, important, wanted, needed.

Rev noticed kari staring at him and he looked over at her.

kari removed her gaze from him, feeling her cheeks warm up furiously fast.

Why do I feel like this? she thought, completely confuzed by her inner emotions.
Maybe its because you like him. her concionce replied.
Sure I like him. He's my teammate and friend after all. she thought.
No, what I mean is that you like him more then that. her concionce said.
What!! I do not, its just that I.....I....I....
Do like him. her concionce finished
Ok maybe I do, but he'd never like me in the same way.
You'll never know untill you ask. her concionce stated before vanishing and leaving her in the black silence of deep thought.

kari was yanked out of her thoughts as she heard Rev calling her name. She looked towards him.

Rev smiled at her and motioned her to join him.

kari got up and walked over to him, her heart pounding so hard in her chest that it hurt and her nerves feeling as though they would burst forth and carry her in the other direction.

"You-wanna-try-my-special-pick-me-up-shake? you-seem-a-bit-uneasy-today." he told her.

"Sure. thanks, i have been feeling a bit uneasy lately." she answered, watching as he added more ingrediants to the shake.

"Any-reason-why-you-feel-like-that?" he asked, his half of his attention on the half ready shake in front of him.

"Um..... I guess I got alot of things on my mind at the moment." she shrugged casually, though she knew the reason perfectly well.

"Huh, well, I-guess-that-it-comes-with-the-job." Rev said, pouring the contents of the blender into two cups and handing one to kari. "You-know-that-you-can-always-tell-me-and-the-others-if-somethings-bothering-you, ok. We're-pretty-much-a-big-family, though-we're-not-related. We'll-be-here-for-you-if-you-need-to-talk-and-we-always-stand-up-for-each-other-and-have-each-others-backs, no-matter-what-happens."
 
"Thanks Rev. That means alot." kari said taking the cup and smiling up at him warmly.

They stared into each other's eyes for awhile before looking away hurridly, both of them had their hearts and minds fluttering in excitment. They finished the drinks in silence not looking at each other. After, they both headed to the sink, brushing up against each other briefly. At the sudden contact, kari dropped her cup and it smashed into tiny pieces on the floor. She blushed and bent down to collect the pieces. Rev grabbed a broom and dustpan and helped her clean up. They both noticed one last piece on the floor and bent down to pick it up. Their hands touched. They looked into each others faces and smiled. kari blushed again, put the piece in the trash and hurried out of the room.

The next day Ace a wakened some what early. Something was different that morning. He got up and whent to the kichen. Lexi was at the tablt talking to Siamese and ,what seemed to be ther shyist new member, Tommy. Rev was in the corner of the kichen looking back and forth from his morning shak and Kari. Kari was at the oposit end thin Rev, looking down avoding Rev eye conact. Tech was siting at the table next to Cody, who was waring blow PJ and his red bandana. Duck and Slam where in the main room playing some vido game. And Max was in the kichen fixin' some thing.

Ace thought that seeing Max would make him angery, but ther was nothing. nothing at all. Lexi looked up as Ace walked into the room. She had a emty set at her side, but Ace walked past it and sat at the far end of Lexi. Lexi felt a suden pain of sadness. Ace ushaly sat next to her but he jest walked off.

At this time Max took the set next to Lexi. he smiled at her, and Lexi smiled back thin tryed to retern to the conversation with the other two. Ace wached this. he was a lttle angered, bt his mined started to sore. whin it chous what to think aponed it wasint of Lexi and Max, it wasint even of a team member. it was of her.

What was her name. It exaped him, but whait he remembered. Diane, Diane Gunning was it.

Rev walked over to Kari

Rev: Kari-I...Um[his fingers started taping his glass at a high speed]...was-wondering-if-um-Techs-bin-tellin'-us-about-a-meteor-shower-thats-coming-in-a-cople-of-days-and-I-was-wondering-if-you-would-wont-to-see-it-with-me--no-all-right.

He had givin her no time to anser and was starting to walk away untill someones hand was on his sholder. he looked to see an Aqua green hand. He terned arouned to face Kari.

Kari: I'd love to go with you.

Rev:you would? Yay![Rev started to back away just to trip on his his foot]
kari gigled and helped him back up.

Duck:WHAT... Um..NO I'M NOT!!!

Ace[who had gotin up and pushed the tree away]: All right, all right, nock it off all of yous. Stop yellin out who you think loves who.

Duck: OOHH HOHO! Stay out of this Ace Bunny! Or I'll blert out who YOU Love![duck said a little cross at what Rev had said]

Ace[crossing his arms and staring at duck]: And who mite that be Duck?

Everyone stared at duck fore his responce.

duck: All right...LEXI!!! YOU LOVE LEXI!!!Admit it you'v loved her sins we all first became loonatics

Lexi was a little stunned and Max was as well. Ace held his grouned fermly, holding the stans he was in, and face. Hes mined raced though.

Ace[in a vary come voce]: You know Duck...Your right I do love Lex, AS A FRIEND, its he same with the rest of yas. Like I over herd Rev say we are like a family, we trst, care, stand besides, and as much as some of us hate to admit it we love each other, like a family...So what if they love each other[Ace jestered to Rev and Kari] its a friend / family love. Jest like you and Zadovia, Right Duck?

Duck[relising Ace was giving him a chanc to get out of this imbaresing moment]: Ya, your right Ace. I didn't think of it that way...I still say thoughs two are in Love.

Ace: Duck!!

Duch: Yesh sory.

They all seperated, Duck avoding Zadovia, Ace avoding Lexis gaz at him as he sat back down, and Rev and Kari moving in opposit directions.
Tech looked down at his bilt in arm clock

Tech: Wow, Best get Dressed Cody, you doin't want to be late for school now.

Cody [leping down from his chair and starting to run]: Sher thing Papa

He skided to a stop in time not to run strat in to Zadovia

Zodovia: its all right Cody

He whent jeting of tords his room Tech had helped organising yesterday. when he came out, whering ablack pnts and a green swetshert and still his red bandana, Tech left with him to shool. Leving the rest ot an acwered silens.

Ace was staring off into space, barly hearing the confersation that was happening in front of him. All he could think of was her. Why did he feel that way? He wasn't nervous around Lexi anymore and ever since meeting Diane yesterday, he couldn't keep his thoughts straight. Even now as he should've been talking to Max, Lexi and Zadavia, he found himself remembering her. He was replaying their meeting for what seemed the thousandth time in his head, taking in the little details that he hadn't noticed before.

Lexi noticed that Ace wasn't talking very much which was weird since he usually liked to talk about the progress, training and stratagies of the team and figure out if Zadavia had found out about anything new about villians or anything suspisous. But now he just stood there, back against the wall, looking at nothing in particular and his eyes had a glazed over appearance.

"....right Ace?" Max joked.

The leader said nothing but kept staring into space.

"Ace?" Zadavia repeated, looking at him with concern.

Still no reply came from him.

The three looked at him in silence before Lexi put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey Ace, are you ok?"

Ace shook his head, clearing his mind of all thoughts as he looked at his friends worried faces. "Sorry, what were you saying?"

The exchanged nervous glances. Lexi spoke again. "Are you ok? You don't seem to be with us completely."

"Ya I'm fine Lex. Dont worry about me." Ace smiled, having finaly made up his mind, before heading towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Max called after him.

"I gotta do something that I should've done in the first place." he replyed, giving them his trademark smirk before leaving the tower.

The trio looked at each other, shrugged it off and resumed their conversation.

Duck had quacked into the room just in time to hear what Ace had said. Curiousity getting the better of him, he silently decided to follow Ace and figure out what was going on with the leader.

Lexi seemed to sadden inside as she watched Ace leave. She didn't know why but something told her that he wasnt leaving to do something, he was leaving to see someone. This made her very nervous. Ace seeing someone?! That thought hit her with a pang of jealousy. She bit her lower lip before leaving the other two and looking out the window and watching as Ace set off down the road to, what it seemed, a fancy hotel.
